Review: We hired B&L for weekly pool service for our pool at our home at a fixed cost per month. Within three weeks the condition of our pool went from pristine to virtually unusable with overgrowth of algae and chemical imbalance. It became apparent that the B&L pool service personnel were absolutely incompetent. The Owner of the company made a few visits to rectify the problems that grew in our pool but generated no improvement. We terminated their service and withheld all payments not made. Within two weeks after hiring a different pool service company, our pool was returned to excellent condition. The new pool service also confirmed much of the pool equipment was never checked by B&L for proper operation.Desired Settlement: B&L continues to contact us regarding an outstanding balance owed. I would expect a letter confirming no balance is owed and an immediate retraction, if any to any organization affecting our credit history.

Review: Sold incorrect subpar pool hoses for automatic pool cleaner. Returned hoses and was advised by [redacted] that the hoses would not work with the pool cleaner I have ([redacted]) as cleaner requires higher pressure hoses. Hoses were sold to me at the time when I picked up my pool cleaner that this store had "rebuilt". Was not given full refund, only 40% of what I originally paid 2 weeks prior for the hoses. At the time of purchase, [redacted] did not provide hose options, only handed me these hoses and rang up the sale. Rebuilt pool cleaner was not operating properly, had another pool store look at cleaner. The worker at the other pool store opened my [redacted] and showed me that the internal part that was replaced by B & L a couple of weeks prior was the incorrect part and didn't even properly fit, also the bottom of the cleaner was installed upside down, this is why the newly rebuilt pool cleaner was not operating properly. I called B & L and was told that I would have to wait until [redacted] returned to work nearly 5 days later to discuss issues with the pool cleaner "rebuild". I was charged approximately $135. for the " rebuild" of my pool cleaner which never properly functioned due to the incorrect hoses sold to me and the improper rebuild of my pool cleaner. As a result of the non functioning pool cleaner and hoses, my pool would not stay clean and I was forced to buy over $150. in pool chemicals that I would otherwise not need if the pool cleaner and hoses were functioning properly. I am still waiting for [redacted] to return to the store to discuss a resolution to the incorrect parts used to rebuild my cleaner and the improper way my cleaner was assembled and returned to me after they "rebuilt" my cleaner.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund for the incorrect hoses that were sold to me and a full refund of the charges paid for the improper rebuild of my pool cleaner. I would also like to be reimbursed for the additional chemicals I had to purchase due to the non functioning cleaner and inadequate hoses.
