On arrival to the office parking lot for a scheduled annual physical for *** today, Mrs. was asked the routine questions for COVID-19 as per protocol. She responded by phone that her husband had been tested on July 10 and that his test was negative, but that she had been tested on July 15 and was still awaiting results. When told that this circumstance would necessitate her having to reschedule *** well child appointment, she then said that she hadn't been tested and that only her husband had been. Because of the discrepancy in responses, she was again told that she would need to reschedule out of an abundance of caution in order to protect vulnerable patients in the office from any potential exposure to Covid-19. She became very upset and said that there was a miscommunication. She continued to be very upset and to shout at the office staff over the phone. She initially refused to leave the parking lot and then threatened to file a report with the Revdex.com and to file for discrimination. It should be noted that her family was the second one that morning that was asked to reschedule their well child appointment due to concerns regarding the Covid-19 infection.
