I took my car to to get washed at this business and they damaged my car. You have to pay before they give you your car back and I paid not thinking that there would be any problems as I've never had any problems from getting my car washed in the 20 years that I have been driving. I even left a tip as courtesy. After paying, I was walking up to my car inspecting their job when I noticed that one of my back lights had been damaged. I immediately brought this to the business' attention, and spoke with the guy who I interacted with when I arrived with my car. The guy said that they didn't do it and that my car was like that when I dropped if off. However, this is not true. I have to walk behind my car to get in my car everyday and I also walked behind my car when I arrived at the car wash that day - and I know my light was not damaged. I asked the owner why they didn't point the damage out to me when I dropped the car off and he said they didn't have to tell me of any damages when I dropped it off. This I found to be strange - in situations like this, a properly run business will let you know of any damages before hand. I couldn't stay to go back to forth with this guy and I had to get back to work.
I called the business the following morning to ask for my tip back. The manager asked me to text her pictures of the damages which I did. She texted me back that the owner would be calling me back. The owner turned out to be the same guy I had spoken with the day before (the same guy who greeted me when I arrived to this business, the same guy who drove my car off to get washed). I again went back and forth with him about the whole situation only this time I was also asking for my tip back - The owner refused to reverse the tip. So I got off the phone and contacted my credit card company, American Express, who took my complaint/claim to reverse the tip. American Express did reverse the tip.
At this point I'd like to file a complaint against this business for the damages done to my back light.
