I can't speak for the quality of work as I am not a roofing expert and don't have the ability to check on repairs made, but needs to work on communication skills, particularly nonverbal communication. Miscommunicated with my realtor's assistant and instead of asking for payment at closing on our home sale called 3 business days later asking for payment. Seemed more concerned about getting his money and closing out his books for the year than making a good lasting impression on his customers.

Review: The roof on our home was installed in October 2011. My husband and I have made more than a dozen phone calls since November 2012 to have a leak in our roof repaired. [redacted] has never made a follow up phone call to resolve the leaking roof or to inform us of any visit and/or any of his findings. Since [redacted] will not answer a call from our home phone number, our two cell numbers, the cell number of our general contractor, and a cell number of one of the general contractor's employee's, a friend called the business this morning on our behalf. After [redacted] identified himself by name he gave the friend an estimated bid based on the square footage of her house. She inquired about the warranty's he offers. Black diamond only offers one warranty; "a lifetime warranty for the original purchaser of the roof, 30 year warranty for a subsequent owner, 20 year warranty for a third owner of the home after the roof purchase." She asked if he had an office to come and look at roofing samples. He works out of his garage and does not have an office. This information was helpful in knowing that I could not go to his place of business to attemp to resolve any warranty work.Desired Settlement: We want a quality roof repair to our satisfaction. Big Buck Construction is our general contractor he has graciously deconstructed the soffit and located a hole in the framing above the soffit. He believes the valley and the tar paper above the hole are failing. Big Buck Construction is not a roofing contractor. He does not have all of the experience that Black Diamond would possess. Please advise.

I roofed the house on [redacted] street back in late 2011, for Mr. [redacted], who had his house on the market. The new owners contacted me at the beginning of this year (2013) to say that they had some gutters put on after we put on the roof and it wasnt draining properly. I went out to check on the roof and found nothing to let me know there was a problem with our installation of the roof. I contacted [redacted] and told her I didnt see an issue, and never heard back from her again until reading this complaint. I have never heard from, or received any calls from her husband, or any contractors, so I dont know how I can be not responding when they have never contacted me. I did receive an anonymous call from someone stating they wanted a rough bid and asked about our warranty a few weeks ago, and I told them the shingle manufacturer's warranty is Limited Lifetime on the roof, and that we provide a 5 yr, 100% labor warranty, as is stated on all our receipts for completed roofs. The anonymous person then asked if they could come see shingle sample colors at my office, and I told them I dont have an office. [redacted] is not the owner we did the roof for, and I still stand behind my work, I do NOT work out of my garage, my work is completed out in the field. I have talked to her on 3 different occasions to try to get this settled in a satisfactory manner, and have contacted her today, 06/06/13 to set up a time for Monday, 06/10/13 to come settle the problem to her satisfaction. I will be bringing my foreman along as a witness that we have been out another time. I'm not too happy that this customer has not been very honest in stating that I have never been in contact with her, that I work out of my garage, and using an anonymous person to somehow "trick me" into meeting up to settle this matter. I am more than willing to stand behind my work, and strive to keep my A+ rating with the Revdex.com.
