[Your Answer Here]
On Monday July [redacted] at 3:09 PM I received a voicemail from the same manager that I talked about in my last Revdex.com letter.  In this voicemail, he claims that he was calling to " see if I can fix the situation that's happening right now in regards to your missed issues regarding the gift subscription". He also said that he needed the first and last name of the individual that I purchased the gift subscription for.  In the same voicemail, this gentleman also stated that once he receives this information, "I'll be able to close the account and issue you the refund."This is the 3rd time this information has been requested by Black Enterprise and the 2nd time by this individual.  I called back and let the individual know that they had requested the same information from me by email on June [redacted] and that I responded back the same day  with the gift recipients full name, address, and email. I also sent both of my email addresses.  I was never contacted again with any questions.  I have not received a refund nor has my father, the gift recipient, received updated subscriptions.  I am not still dealing with this issue going on 6 months later.

Review: This company sent me a FREE offer after I made a purchase elsewhere, and they have charged my credit card for $13, , and then turned around are credited it back when they weren't suppose to charge my credit card in the first place, because the subscription was FREE.Desired Settlement: I want my account information DELETED from this company database and for them to NEVER charge my card again!

Review: I subscribed to Black Enterprise Magazine/Digital during March 2015. As of today's date, 11/*/2015, I have not received any material from Black Enterprise. I have contacted Black Enterprise multiple times via phone and email. At this time I have requested a full refund of my subscription. I received no response to my email regarding cancelling subscription, sent July 2015. I spoke with a person in the Headquarters office in August whom stated they were processing my cancellation. After more time of no new developments, I contacted the headquarters office again October 2015 and spoke with Yohan M[redacted]. Yohan informed me that my digital subscription would be extended 1-year as a courtesy and my refund would process in 7-10 business days. On 11/*/2015 I spoke with Kim (ext. [redacted]) via phone as a result of no refund being provided. Kim informed me that she saw in her system an initial request for cancellation was put in July 2015. Kim could not provide an update or tell me how long the cancellation would take to process. She also stated she wasn't sure if any magazines would be provided to me before the end of this 2015 calendar year.Desired Settlement: Full refund of my subscription as well as a cancellation of my subscription

Review: The following timeline occurred in 2015:

March *: Ordered subscription to the Black Enterprise magazine via their website [redacted]. The subscription was ordered to be sent to a dear friend of mine who is incarcerated. I followed up with an email on this day to see if I had access to the digital subscription and to see when the printed copy would be received.

March *: I received a response from BE stating that I have access to the digital and print editions and my subscription should begin with the November 2014 issue. They also said that it may take 4-6 weeks to receive my first issue.

April *: I received an email from BE stating that my subscription was about to end and I need to renew now. At this point, no magazine had been received, as I speak with my friend often and he gets mail daily.

April **: I sent an email to BE inquiring about the subscription since the initial 4-6 weeks that was promised had expired and I also inquired about why I received a renewal email.

April 20: I received a response from BE stating that they were experiencing difficulties with mailouts and I should receive a magazine by May and I currently have access to the digital magazine. I was not interested in the digital magazine, because, as I stated, the subscription was not for me.

May: received nothing

June *: I tweeted BE asking why I hadn't received my subscription. They "favorite" the tweet but did not respond.

June *: I sent another tweet asking why I was being ignored. I also sent an email stating my disappointment and that I no longer wanted the magazine, I simply want a refund.

June **: BE tweets back and tells me to email [redacted] with my subscription info. I sent the same email that was sent to another BE account on June *, asking for a refund.

June **: BE responds apologizing and asking to me to confirm my friend's address so they can send the magazines. I responded and reiterated that I wanted a refund, not the magazines because he was no longer interested. That day I received another, separate email about a free digital subscription. How could it be free when it was included with the print subscription that I had already paid for?

Needless, to say I still have not heard back from Customer Service about my refund. I do not understand how any magazine promoting black business is that bad at actually running a business and providing good customer service.Desired Settlement: I want a full refund as soon as possible. We are no longer interested in the subscription to such a poorly operated magazine company. They also should stop taking people's money if they do not have the magazines or the manpower to get them shipped out.

Review: Dear Revdex.com,

I am a Veteran of the USN. I am bringing this matter to your attention and it is about one company that doesn't exist and one that Is Fraudulent.

On August *,2014 I received a magazine called Black Enterprise (June issue) and a letter with a check made payable to myself for $1990.22 from a company called [redacted] from [redacted] but it's post marked from the British of Columbia.

The letter with the check told me that I needed to activate my check first online and then have it deposited into my account.

They told me the reason I received this letter was

"based on the previous survey by our affiliate Consumer Survey and Quality Control Specialist, you indicated your interests in an additional income on a part time bases, you are hereby selected to participate in a paid quality Control Program, as one of the Research Personnel selected under this program, you will be working as a Consumer Service Evaluator of some selected merchant outlets and service providers."

And at the bottom of the paper they have listed stores that reads Powered By: [redacted] and [redacted]

The check from them is made payable to me but "looks" like it is issued from [redacted], financial institution. I called [redacted] and told them what happened and the [redacted] from [redacted] tol me to bring it to the branch and they will deal with it.

Thank you very much. This should be a lot of help.

The address and phone number listed on the letter

[redacted]

tel: ###-###-#### Fax ###-###-#### [redacted] /

Also listed in a box that reads important notice:

'Personal information is Not Required to do this job and you are not going be ask for such information'

• if your names are written wrongly in your payroll check, endorse reverse side with your correct names and sign behind it before depositing into bank account.

• Please note that it is mandatory that you e-mail coordinator to report each completed assignment. Job done but not reported for review will be considered "JOB NOT COMPLETED" and you will not be sent another job until further notice.

Scan all evaluation receipts immediately to e-mail: [redacted] Evaluation report is time sensitive;receipts must be submitted immediately after doing assigned evaluation to avoid disqualification.

Visit [redacted] and report your experience.

Read instructions carefully to complete assigned evaluation as instructed by coordinator.

And I did not email or go to any of these websites or make any phone calls from the phone numbers listed here regarding this company except for the Bank.

Magazine- Black Enterprise June 2014 issue.( and it doesn't have any welcome slips, or anything telling why I have this) and I looked them up on your website and it's rated with an F+.

Thank you got your time

Cell-[redacted]Desired Settlement: Dear Revdex.com,

On August *, 2014 I received in the mail which is also a post office box, a free magazine called Black Enterprise along with a check paid out to me for $1990.22 to "Participate in a paid Quality Control Program, as one of the research personnel selected under this program and would become a permanent part time position for a selected few who are able to distinguish themselves in a course of this program."

This check is from a company called [redacted]

Tel: ###-###-####

Fax: ###-###-#### [redacted] They instructed me to sign in with a User ID and Password. I was told to activate the check and then deposit it . The check was made out from the bank [redacted]. I called the bank and let them know of this matter and I was told to turn it into the bank and they will then deal with this issue. But I don't know how this fraudulent scam got any of my information. But it looks like they might be using the magazine as a way to hype up the check I received into thinking that I will be making a lot of money with this company.

Thank you. Please take notice of this, it looks very legit and it's not.

Review: I order magazines as a gift for my father back in February of 2015. My father has not received his gift. I called customer service three times between March and April. In April, I was told that the account was located and that my father would be sent back issues. I requested to not have back issues sent and the rep offered to update the 2 year subscription so that it would start with current issues. I was told to call back if an issue was not received by June [redacted]. When the issue did not come,I called and found out that I can no longer talk to a rep, but that inquiries have to sent by email. I have contacted the 8 times at the point : 3 times calling customer service when number was accessible, 2 emails, and 3 times calling one of the company's marketing managers (to remain professional, I will not list a name). Each time I am given the run around about how someone will get back to me. There are many complaints on social media with customers saying they also have not received magazines and cannot get in touch with customer service. For Black Enterprise to be a business magazine, they are very unprofessional in how they conduct business with their customers.Desired Settlement: Refund

Review: - On 3/**/13, I placed an order via [redacted] for a 1 year subscription for both a hard copy and online magazine subscription for $12.99. On that date, I received 1 online issue of BE via a website link that subsequently disappeared. - Black Enterprise ("BE") debited my account $22 instead of the advertised $12.99 price. - On or around 4/*/2013, I contacted BE Customer Service and my subscription was extended to 2 years. No refund was issued. - On or around 5/**/2013, I again contacted BE to let them know that I have not received my first hard copy issue of Black Enterprise Magazine, nor do I know how to access the online issues. - I was told by a BE representative that I should receive my hard copy issue by 6/*/2013.Desired Settlement: - Because 1) I was over charged initially and 2) I never received the products I ordered, I am filing this complaint so to again request a refund in the amount of $22. The last time I contacted BE, I asked for a refund and was not given one. I was just told to wait for my subscription to arrive.
