Review: I purchase a sweet sixteen cake for my daughter for the event dated 5/**/13, the same day of the daughters event I got a call around 12noon from one of the baker, stating that the cake decorations that I wanted they couldn't do it because it is to humid and it's not coming out right, so they are going to try another way. my daughter event was starting at 7pm, they delivered it at the location. When I got to my daughters event, my cake was not what I paid for, it was suppose to be hot pink, it was pastel pink, my cake was suppose to be lopsided, it was not , my cake was supposed to have different color ribbons going around it in bright colors it was not, and it was sweating/wet, it suppose to a fondant cake, well it was a big disappointment, I really had high expectations, they are known for tasty and wonderful cake, they actually made my wedding cake, and I was very please and I gave a lot of recommendations, but I got a big shock of my life. my daughters cake look like different color worms on it, because they could not make different color splashes on it. This is not acceptable. I called to speak with the owner about 3 times, it could not get in touch with him, I could the forth time I finely spoke to him, I explained my concerns with the cake and he basically ask me what do I want him to do, and I said the right thing, my cake cost around $700, I thought he would at least give me my money back or at least most of it because they could not fulfill the job as promised, I call back another time and they stated to me that the owner wanted to give a $200 store credit and a $50 restaurant credit and I said I would not be able to use there store again, because they are not trustworthy. if your customer is not happy, you should respond to there calls in a timely manner, and run them around.

Review: Tonight is the 2nd time I purchased a cake from the Black Forest Bakery on [redacted] in [redacted]. Prior to purchasing the cake I asked if it was fresh (baked today) and was told that it was fresh. I asked this because the first cake I bought there was stale.

When I got home, I noticed this cake was also stale, and brought it back to the bakery. The worker offered to give me another cake, and allowed me to touch the cake with my fingers...which was also stale (upon which she returned it to the display case).

When the [redacted] came, they refused to refund me $7.50 for the cake telling me it was frozen fresh. Frozen is NOT fresh. The [redacted] said there was a "no refund" policy...it's nice to know they stand behind their product. Any other place would have offered a refund for product that was bad. They offered a store credit for more stale baked goods, but since their food was handled and then returned to display I refused. I told her that the worker allowed me to touch the cake and then returned it to the display case. At no point did the [redacted] remove the cake from the display.

This bakery is going to make people sick!!Desired Settlement: Refund for price of cake...[redacted] claimed that there was a no refund policy (which was not posted in store)- said it was on the receipt, that I was never given.

Thought it was necessary to contact the Revdex.com regarding the handling of food and their business policies. This company is going to make people sick if they are placing food products that have been handled on their display shelf for purchase.
