[redacted]:We've been closed since the middle of December, so my response has been delayed. In regard to [redacted]'s communication to you: At the request of Mr. [redacted] {family member of [redacted]),I went to the property at [redacted] in [redacted] in October, 2016, to...
inspect the roof for hail damage since [redacted] experienced a couple of hail storms several months earlier in May. I did find damage to the roof vents but not to the shingles. Sometime after that point, my notes indicate that Mr. [redacted] called to say he thought there was a roof leak on the west side of the dormer. He also came by my office a few weeks later and 1 spoke directly to him. In early December, I went back to the property to conduct a thorough inspection but could not find anything that would be causing the problem as a result of the new roof installation. I was remiss in not calling Mr.[redacted] at that time to let him know my findings. Please note that at the time of the 2014 roof installation, I advised Mr. [redacted] that his dormer needed new siding and new aluminum to be installed around a window. On my December visit, I noticed that work had not been done. I believe that whatever problem Mr. [redacted] is experiencing two+ years later is related to that. During the last couple of years, I have installed a new roof on three separate properties for Mr. [redacted]. I want to say that I very much appreciate his business, and I am sorry he is experiencing a problem at the [redacted] house. If Mr.[redacted] would like to meet me at the property so we can look in the attic together, I would be more than willing to do so.Thank you for the opportunity to respond.Grover Upton
