Tell us why here...We are sorry that you are having these issuesThere is no legal connection between Alternate Energies and Black-Haak Heating. If there is an issue with Alternate Energies you will have to contact them directly. We are Glad that you found someone that could take care of your system the way you wanted. We felt there was no way we could do any type of repair besides repiping all of the flow center. Our Proposal was for an upgrade to your system, if Alternate Energies would have installed your system with this upgrade you would have had to pay the same amount. Our experience is that patching things never seems to work and in the end will cost you more money. We acknowledge this to you and suggested that if you wanted to repair a portion of the piping you could call someone else, which you did. It is now understood that there may be a leak in the loop field of the system. A question to ponder is why did this leak get worse after another company other then Alternate energies worked on it? The solution to your problem is not with Black-Haak Heating we have no connection to your system. You are going to have to talk to your new service provider (Geo-Loop) and the installing company (Alternate Energies) about how to handle your current situation. I wouldn't know how to go about finding the specific details of the business transaction for the consolidation of Alternate Energies into Black Haak Heating. I can say that I have obtained another quote and have moved forward on the work because it was a third of the price for the same scope from a competitor of Black Haak. I also couldn't wait any longer because we can't be without air conditioning (it is humid and sticky out). I had offered several cost savings solutions for Black Haak that were acceptable to me, but I was met with a confident no. I guess the only thing I could do from here is contact legal advice. If it ends up that the issue is in the loop field under ground, the cost is going to grow exponentially and it isn't something I can afford to do. I will need to move forward with legal help. Let's hope for the sake of everyone's time and energy that that won't be the case. I would really appreciate some cost competitive help before this gets out of hand!

We would appreciate if you would assist any way possible, including encouraging [redacted] to honor his 100% workmanship warranty. The system has leaked since day 1. It was a slow leak that [redacted] tried to plug with some solution. When GeoLoop came to flush the system they must have worked what was left of the plug loose and it opened the hole up larger. Regardless, the issue was from day one and [redacted] knows it. Now we have to dig up the backyard. We have consulted legal advise at this point. Not sure where it will go from here.  Regards,

We are aware and concerned about this situation.  Black-Haak Heating did not install the system in question nor did they buy a company called Alternate Energies.  That company (Alternate Energies) is no longer in business, the former owner of that company does work here. ...

Black-Haak does own the number and the web site address for the prior company but that is the only connection.  This was explained to the customer.  Black-Haak can provide warranty coverage of the manufacture products but can not provide any coverage from another heating company.The issue with this system is there are some PVC pipes that are leaking.  The leaks can be simply fixed but that fix would not be permanent, so Black-Haak and the customer have agreed on the best way to fix the problem.  It is our recommendation that the customer upgrade the piping to copper to prevent future leaks, the customer agrees as well.  The issue is not a workmanship issue, it is the result of the system heating and cooling causing the threads to expand, which is normal operation.  To do this repair would cost over $2000.  Black-Haak offered a discount of $1400 to upgrade the system because of his relationship with one of our employees.We have tried to explain this to this customer but they are understandably upset with having to pay for an upgrade.  Their issue is with Alternate Energies, which is no longer in operation, not Black-Haak Heating.  We have tried and will continue to try to offer any assistance we can to help this customer but we can not lower the price anymore.

11-4-2015 Black Haak installed a new WIFI thermostat. Brad, service rep. Arrived on time and was extremely professional. Brad was outstanding, he took the time to teach us and allow us to set up the WIFI program on our IPAD, with his direction. This way it allowed us to learn all operational modes of this thermostat and how the furnace failure alerts information was sent & received. Brad treated us with respect, answered all questions with clarity and made us feel very confident in knowing all functions. I would strongly recommend getting this new WIFI thermostat and contacting Black Haak tomorrow.

We were having moisture problems on our master bedroom windows due to the humidity caused by the master bathroom shower usage. The team at Black-Haak -- from the office staff to the specialist, Rick, to the installation team of Andy and Chad -- were so knowledgeable and helpful in getting this problem under control. We have been working with Black-Haak for 19 years and will continue to do so! Many thanks for a job well done!

We called Black-Haak heating to service our diesel furnace and they were great. Took the time to answer all questions and now very confident we will have heat all winter.

We contacted Black-Haak Heating to install a Generac back-up home generator and were so satisfied with their work that we decided to have them replace our heating and air-condtioner with Tempstar's excellent products. We could not be happier with the scheduling from the start to the finished job. From office personnel to the technicians that did the work. Everyone performed beyond our expectations and would definitely contact them for any future work and to any of our friends.

I am very impressed with the service we received from Black-Haak Heating, Inc. They promptly responded to our request for service, had a technician available the same day. Very friendly and professional technician. He wasted no time in evaluating the problem with our furnace and getting it fixed and running. I would highly recommend Black-Haak Heating, Inc. to anyone and will definitely be using their service in the future.
