I called black hat to service my fireplace it was burning improperly the glass is black and so is my siding...they sent howard, a nice enough guy I guessI explained to him I had cleaned the glass less than one week ago and it was so bad you could barely see the flames through the suit , he cleaned it and adjusted the damper a little as it was basically wide open anywayHere we are one week later and the same thingI called and spoke with the girl who answered the phone and she wanted to pull my file to see what work was performed The office manager picked up the phone and promptly told me there is no guarantee when they perform service,I told her I understood that and wanted to talk a little more in depth but she said that is there policy and didn't want to discuss it any further,because they make that known up front...but I really would expect a service man to check the pressure and make sure it is correct and check the orifice to make sure there is not some dirt in there Something is making it burn improperlyso basically I paid black hat to clean my glass, dissapointed in the service and the as a matter of fact attitude from the manger
Excellent company to work with. We had a chimney fire in January 2015. I called several chimney and fireplace companies with little response and even less assistance. Finally, I got the number for Black Hat and I immediately felt comfortable. After 2 months of run around with our insurance company, [redacted] contacted the adjuster directly and gave them what they wanted/needed to settle our claim. Once we had the funds, they got us on the schedule and installed our amazing fireplace in 2 short days. We had one question about the product after our first use and it was answered in 24 hours. Their showroom is beautiful and everyone knows the products that they offer. We would have them install 20 more fireplaces for us.
