I visited this bar for the first timeI ordered a $well drinkI gave the bartender my card he told me $2, handed me my drink and my card and walked awayHe didn't even ask for my ID The next morning I checked my bank acct and a charge of $had posted to my acctI called, spoke w/ Rachel M***, the gm, who was very nasty in letting me know that a min of $has to be charged and they also added $gratuityI was NOT initially told this, I explained and she proceeded to tell me 98% of bars work this way and all the bartenders are NOT expected to tell customers this b/c there's a sign on the registerThis is a dim lit bar with crap all over the walls & plenty people were there, & even tho it may be on the walls that does not excuse the bartender from telling meI explained this was my first time, there & I didn't see any signageShe refused to refund, she spoke to me as if bar sense was common sense and like ALL bars run the same & they DONT! It was not right for the to authorize a charge & let alone tip themselves without my signature of authorizationI was NOT initially told about the minimum $charge on cards nor the gratuityIf I did, I would've gotten another drinkIt's wrong to expect customers to know when they are NOT being verbally told! It's wrong and I feel like they just took my money and I was charged for something I did not get! I was jipped! I will NEVER return to this bar and will do ALL I can to let others know my experience and to make this matter rightI did NOT authorize a tip or the additional $charged to my cardNot only that the gm, Rachel M [redacted] was very rude and nasty about the whole situation when I spoke with her over the phoneI was NOT told I was starting a tabI was NOT told the minimum charge, I did NOT sign off on this and I definitely did NOT authorize a tip of $1.50! I was only told my drink was $2!!!!!!! No wonder the bartender didn't care, he got a $tip of my $drink b/c I was unaware of the minimum purchase amtIm sure they get A LOT of people like this!
