The proprietor of Black Pearl Paving was not truthful in his statement that we were pleased with the work upon completionWe did mutually settle upon a lower bottom line price of $We did pay the proprietor the remaining balance to meet that new bottom line; so the bill is "paid in full"As previously stated, a thinner layer of blacktop was laid down than the contract states, with very little gravel underneathDue to ripples, waves, and granulated looking tar piled in a couple of places, the workers sprayed the entire driveway down with a chemical that smelled like gasoline and rolled the driveway repeatedlyThe smell caused me to have days of migraine headaches! Due to spraying the driveway with that chemical, weeks later, we had to purchase a tamper for $to try to minimize turn around marks in the drivewayThe top layer of tar did not dry out wellThe broken down piece of "rented " equipment that blocked the base of our driveway, as well one lane of the roadway, was picked up days later after complaining to the owner of the business the proprietor rented the equipment fromWe have spent many avoidable hours tamping tar piles, moving gravel and topsoil to clean up the mess this company left behindWe will not ask them back to apply the sealer after all of the problems with this job to dateGood quality, warrantied work at the original price would have been preferred

The complaint was made before job was completed the job was completed and they were happy and payed final bill skeedload was removed from job it was a rental and starter went out and pill was removed as soon new rental skidloader was brought out and again the client was as satisfied as
possible

We did pay the proprietor the remaining balance to meet that new bottom line; so the bill is "paid in full". As previously stated, a thinner layer of blacktop was laid down than the contract states, with very little gravel underneath. Due to ripples, waves, and granulated looking tar piled in a couple of places, the workers sprayed the entire driveway down with a chemical that smelled like gasoline and rolled the driveway repeatedly. The smell caused me to have 2 days of migraine headaches! Due to spraying the driveway with that chemical, weeks later, we had to purchase a tamper for $150 to try to minimize turn around marks in the driveway. The top layer of tar did not dry out well. The broken down piece of "rented " equipment that blocked the base of our driveway, as well one lane of the roadway, was picked up 3 days later after complaining to the owner of the business the proprietor rented the equipment from. We have spent many avoidable hours tamping tar piles, moving gravel and topsoil to clean up the mess this company left behind. We will not ask them back to apply the sealer after all of the problems with this job to date. Good quality, warrantied work at the original price would have been preferred.
