Black Road Auto Wrecking

Review: An owner of the business had posted a vehicle for sale on Craigslist. I called to inquire about the car, and was told about the stated problems. I asked if it had a clean title, and if they had the title in hand. He told me yes. I said, are you sure, as I'm driving 12+ hours from Oregon. He said yes...I arrived and they did NOT have a title, but he convinced me that they would help me to get the title transferred to me etc etc.It has been almost 4 months, I do not yet have the title and have had to track down previous owners in the process. I am told by the Califormia DMV that I may have to pay $400 in back registration to get it.They said they would help me, but refuse to return any phone calls.The person that sold them the vehicle said that he indeed did transfer the title to them, and that it is required by any salvage yard.I am now being harassed by the police for driving a car without proper paperwork, but as it is my only vehicle, I have no choice but to.Desired Settlement: I would like for this business to cover the back registration if I am indeed required to pay it to obtain the title ($400), my transportation fee for driving down to pick the car up and bring it back to Portland, OR($600), as well as my transportation costs to drive down to California again in order to go to the DMV in person. I estimate this to be appx. $150.
