We installed an electric brake controller on ***'s truck, a couple of days later we received a call from Mr.*** saying he was hooked up to his trailer and the electric brake controller was not working, we tried trouble shooting the
problem over the phone but could not figure out the problem at that timeMr.*** said he was at a garage that would have a look at the problem for him, we told him to come see us when he returned and we would refund half of the labour time from the initial installWhen Mr.*** returned he told us that the problem was wire was not hooked up, which was only about a min job to fix, he told us that the repair cost him around $*** dollars which was very high for the repair that had to be done and he wanted us to refund him half of that amount, at that time we told Mr.*** that we would refund him the total labour time that he paid at our shop for the initial install, we thought that was very fair and that his request of paying half of the $*** bill that he paid at the other garage was very high for what was only a min fix

The response is not an accurate account of what took placeAWD told me to come see him when we got back; there was no conversation about any amount of compensationThe garage had to trouble shoot the problem before they could do the repair so it is unfair for AWD to judge how long it should have taken them to repair the problem that AWD indicated would have only taken him minutes to complete; which they failed to do in the first placeI was prepared to absorb half of the Bill for $*** but when the owner became argumentative and said I was only entitled to half the original labour of $**, I left his place of businessAll in all, we are out $*** for a repair that should have not even been necessary if the installation was done correctly and completely at AWDIt is our opinion that we should not have incurred this cost and AWD should refund us the full amountThat is just all part of doing business and doing the right thing
