During the pandemic of COVID Blackswamp did not communicate with players. All players paid $750 up to $1500 to play. First we were promised a season, that fell through with no communication. Then *** the owner stated he would give practices but would NOT refund anyone their money. Only give them a credit to use for future purchases only at their club. When asked for refund due to our daughter starting volleyball at her school he replied with I am on the verge of filing bankrupt and then you'll get nothing. I lost $40,000 in 3 months. Owner blocked peoples numbers and does not return calls. We paid $750.00 and was offered a $150 credit.

Refund Refund people their money if they want a refund.
Our club was forced to shut down. We were not allowed to operate at the end of March til June. We are now practicing in June to make up time for lost practices in April. You can go to our website and all my communication is posted. We were willing to allow her daughter to attend what ever session she wanted to make up the lost practice time. She still didn't think that was good enough. She chose not to attend practice. As for canceled tournaments We offered a credit to ALL customers for lost tournaments that were missed due to cancellations. That credit can be used for any future training, clothing, or club fees. Our budget was deeply effected due to the loss of major revenue. We applied for a few government assistance programs and were denied based of our operations. We are a not for profit organization with a 501C3. Our budget is designed to be at zero at the end of each year. With the inability to predict a complete forced shut down and the loss of major revenue the club board decided the best course of action was offer credits to our customers This particular customer was harassing and insulting on multiple occasions. I decided it was best for our club to NO LONGER be associated with her or her family. so I sent her a refund instead of issuing the credit per that way there was no reason she would ever need to associate with Black Swamp VBC again. On 6/4/20 I communicated with her and sent her a refund check. On 6/5/20 this women sends me a text while we are waiting in the BMV line, I can honestly tell you I have no idea what she looks like and she acted like I should have recognized her. I worked with her daughter not her. At that point I block her number because I did what she asked and she's was still harassing me. She then called me from another number on 6/8/20 and is threatening me with her lawyer because she hasn't gotten her check yet. I can't control the US postal service. I've tried to please this women it became clear to me that she isn't going to ever be pleased and I have moved on from her.
