Black & Yellow Paving

Review: Last evening, the manager of Black and Yellow came to our house. He did not come to the door but honked until my wife asked me to approach the car. The manager's demeanor was hostile and threatening. He told me he was leaving town and needed $400 from me, which he claimed to be an amount I had verbally agreed to pay him to repave our driveway. He and his crew did very good work painting my house in April, but the receipt he gave me for the $3,500 cost of that work does not indicate additional work has been contracted because he "knocked off $400 in lieu of future work." I engaged him in talk for 15 minutes, in an attempt to understand the problem and even pay him the $400 if he could demonstrate that I owed him. He was very agitated, and insisted he needed the money right then. He demanded to talk to my wife, who told him to get off the property and he did at once,. His last words were that he would give this matter to his attorney. We both felt so shocked to be confronted this way that I notified the state police afterward. Our desired outcome is to be left alone by the man.Desired Settlement: Make clear to the customer the exact price of the job.
