Payed for Yoga Teacher Training which included 5 12-hour days of Zoom training sessions to include recordings at end of each day & have not received.
Purchased ($125) on July 10, 2020. Class was held on July 23-27, 2020, 12 hours/day, if you were unable to attend they were sending the recordings out at the end of each day. As of August 5th I have not received any recordings. I was unable to attend the live sessions because of work, so I was depending on the recordings. August 4th I requested a refund because I haven't received what I paid for. I was told that I could not receive refund because they have a No Cash Refund Policy but could use a credit towards another class. I do not want to be involved with this company any further as looking at their Facebook page...I am not the only one having this issue. Many people are asking and their concerns are not being addressed. I've emailed ***@theyogablue.com to request a refund and received email from "Novi" regarding their policy. I've explained my concerns and they are not moving forward to give me a return and yet they I haven't received what I paid for. Also, the documentation "book" that was provided is not only plagiarized as it has screenshot from books that are not referenced. The credibility of the credentialing/certificate process is very questionable and there is no direct proof that the certificate, if earned, is of any value or useful in the business yoga business world. This is questionable based on the lack of the responses of business owner, the plagiarizing of referenced pages used in the teachers manual and the lack of follow through in satisfactory resolutions towards refunds.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of $125, I do not want a credit because I'm not happy with the experience I've received from this company and do not want to deal with them any further.

Contact Name and Title: Yvette
Contact Phone: ***
Contact Email: ***@blackyogamagazine.com
*** reached out to us on August 4th 2020 requesting a refund. Per our policy we do not offer refunds, as we give direct access to the first portion of our training immediately to paid customers. Our CSR handled the request professionally reiterating our no refund policy. *** agreed to allow a credit to be placed on her account, as you will see in the email trail provided. We have multiple avenues of communication. We posted in our FB Group 7/31/20 an update regarding the video recordings of our training, and then followed up with an email stating the same on 8/1/20. Our email tracking system shows that *** received our email and opened it 3 times on 8/1/20, yet she states in her email on 8/4/20 that she hasn't received anything. Our email clearly states "beginning August 4th you will be able to access all the intensive videos in your online portal through Thinkific." We are a reputable company that is registered with Yoga Alliance, where our certificates are recognized across the nation. https://www.yogaalliance.org/SchoolPublicProfile?***=XXXXX&lid=15166
We have fully refunded the customer. Also the manual that we use is properly sited and nothing has been plagiarized. Our requirements to complete our course aligns with that of Yoga Alliance criteria for certification at 15hrs of teaching, sun *** A&B and 2 written essays. Please see documents of proof attached.

My request for a refund of $250.00 toward a Virtual Yoga Teacher Training course has been denied. This was an accidental charge hours before request.
My request for a refund of $250.00 toward a Virtual Yoga Teacher Training course has been denied. This was an accidental charge that I had made while browsing the course. I explained in two emails shortly after I realized that a payment was processed. I emailed for two days before I was replied back to. The reply denied my request and said I can use it as a credit. I do live in North Carolina and cannot attend any workshops. I also cannot attend virtually. I requested a refund in less that 24 hours from when the payment was processed and do not live within a distance to use any credit.

Desired Outcome

I am seeking a refund of $250.00. I also believe that BYM could add a grace period to their virtual intensive training charges to offset these problems.

Black Yoga Magazine Response • Aug 12, 2020

This verbal response was taken by Revdex.com.

Business stated this was not an accidental charge. In order to make a purchase a consumer has to fill out a form completely online and give a credit card number in order to be charged, with an additional step to ensure the consumer wants the charges to be processed.
The consumer had accessed the portal multiple times with access to view and use the material that was paid for.
That being said, the business will refund the consumer, it usually takes 10-15 days to process.

During coronavirus with a lot time of my hands I found an ad for Yoga virtual training for all levels at a reasonable price. Ashley is an incredible instructor with a genuine interesting teaching others. I toke course improve myself with no plans to teach. After training I have a new tribe and desire to teach others.

Submitted a request for advertising my business in the Black Yoga Journal. Creator/owner, is Ashley A.. I paid $250 on June 27, 2019, invoiced to Yoga Blue LLC, invoice #XXXXX. Magazine was supposed to be published in September.
I requested to review the magazine layout of advertisement - the write up, review my photo, and business logo prior to publication. She did not respond to my requests.
I requested to purchase the magazine once it was published. I asked if the magazine was online or hardcopy. She sent me a link but the magazine was not present.
The magazine was never published. Front covers are shown on Facebook and on two websites, but there is no magazine. The actual magazine does not exist.
I called the number listed, but she does not answer. He voice mail does pick up.

This is the response I sent directly to the merchant as we are a digital publication I'm not sure what she is referring to as her ads have be featured in the last four issues of the magazine. In addition Rhythm of Yoga will be included in this months issue as well.

Good evening,

I just wanted to follow up with you about the magazine because we received a complaint from the Revdex.com. Rhythm of Yoga has been featured in the last 4 issue of the magazine and will be featured in this months issue as well. I'm not sure why you haven't been reviewing the publication as I know we have the correct email address. I have posted the links for the last four issues be

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
1. The magazine was supposed to be published September 2019. I received links for the magazine after filing the complaint with the Revdex.com. Secondly, I did not give Ashely A. permission to publish what she supposedly published about the Rhythm of Yoga. I did not review any of the content she said that she published pertaining to my business. As such, the agreement between Ms. A. and myself for advertising the Rhythm of Yoga in July 2019 is void and I should receive a full refund immediately.

2. I sent emails and called Ms. A. numerous times requesting to review the text, my photo, and my business logo, basically everything associated with the overall outline/display for publication. I also asked her for the magazine publication date. She did not respond to my inquiries. As such, Ms. A. did not provide me with the opportunity to approve the information presented at any time in her magazine, hard-copy or on-line. The links she provided to the Revdex.com of her publications supposed to have information presented about the Rhythm of Yoga was not authorized. She has not respected the terms agreed upon and discussed.

3. Ms. A. sent me a Facebook message, requesting that I remove her complaint from the Revdex.com because she said she posted information about my business in her magazine. Her magazines were not on-line last year as she just stated.

Customer Response • Mar 10, 2020

Ashley A. returned $250, the amount I paid her on June 27, 2019 for advertising.
Revdex.com thank you for your assistance in resolving this matter in such a timely manner.
