I am rejecting this response because:
There are several inaccurate statements in ***' response
1st: I did NOT have the vehicle towed to his shopI drove it there the night beforeI also went by that morning to see if it would startIt did! I also spoke with one of his mechanic that afternoon who told me that he didn't know if they found a problem but he knew it started right up for them
2nd: weeks later The Garage in Tehachapi ran a check and found the fuel pump very lean on start- upThey also checked the "Check engine " light which had come on days after Blacksmith worked on my vehicleThe first time ever!!!
3rd: He stated that I had said that I had replaced the thermostatI did NOT make that statement because I had notThe Garage in Tehachapi did a pressure check and found NO LEAKS!
4th: I never told him that my Jeep did not run for monthsI drive this vehicle to work every day!
5th: The catalic converter is not bad! He diagnosed it as bad because the front drive shaft was making noise! The original converter is still on the vehicle and is NOT bad!
Blacksmith automotive mis-diagnosed the intermittent non=start (it was the fuel pump), the leaking thermostat and the catalic converter

Blacksmith Automotive In response to *** , when I heard loud rattling under his Jeep I went under his jeep to check the noise myself and found it was the catalytic converter, the vehicle was not moving at this time so noise couldn't be from the drive shaftMy mechanic also alerted me when looking at ***'s Jeep that there was coolant around the thermostat, this I found to be true***'s melted parts could only be caused by being damaged internally, there are no mounts that hold up the E.G,Rtransducer above the E.G R valve only the hoses as shown by diagrams that were sent in my first responseCatalytic converters break up inside until they become small enough pieces to be blown out the tail pipe then of course the substrate is no longer rattling. Sincerely yours *** * ***

BLACKSMITH AUTOMOTIVE [redacted] CALLED AND TOW US THAT HIS JEEP WOULDN'T START. [redacted] DID TELL US HE THOUGHT ITH PROBLEM MIGHT BE A FUEL PUMP. HE HAD ET TOWED INTO OUR SHOP FOR DIAGNOSES WE TESTED THE FUEL PUMP AND IT WAS WITHIN SPECS, WHEN CRANKING THE ENGINE, WE THEN SET A DIAGNOSTIC LAB SCOP...

UP TO TEST THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR AND WE DIDN'T GET A SIGNEL FROM IT WHEN CRANKING THE ENGINE. WHEN REPLACING THE CRANKSHAFT SENSOR WE NEEDED TO REMOVE THE E.G.R. PIPE TO DO THE JOB AND UPON LOOKING AT IT WE SAW IT HAD A BROKEN BOLT WITH A LOT OF SILICON GLUE, TO HOLD IT TOGETHER. I CALLED [redacted] TO GET APPROVAL BECAUSE THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD WOULD NEED TO BE REMOVED. THE OTHER BOLT BROKE WHEN TRYING TO LOOSEN IT, WE TRIED TO BE CARFUL BUT LIKE THE OTHER BROKEN BOLT IT WAS TOO RUSTY, WE NEEDED TO REMOVE THE MANIFOLD TO DRILL AND TAP OUT THE BROKEN BOLTS. AFTER INSTALLING THE NEW CRANKSHAFT SENSOR, AND AN OIL PRESSURE SWITCH THAT WAS LEAKING OIL, THE JEEP STARTED RIGHT UP, UPON TEST DRIVING IT WE COULD HEAR THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER RATTLING LOUDLY, THE COOLANT LEAK WE SAW BEFORE WE STARTED WORKING ON THE JEEP, [redacted] TOLD ME THE HE HAD JUST REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT AND HE WOULD TAKE CARE OF IT. [redacted] DECLINED TO REPLACE THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER_ I HAVE INCLOSED A LETTER SHOWING THAT A BLOCKED CATALYTIC CONVERTER WILL FORCE HOT EXHAUST BACK UP TO THE EXHAUST RESURCULATION VALVE (E.G.R.) AND SUBSEQUET DAMAGE TO THE TRANSDUCER . [redacted] ALSO TOLD US THAT BEFORE REPLACING THE CRANK SENSOR HE HAD INTERMITTENT STARTING PROBLEMS AND IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL, THEN AFTER A MONTH HIS JEEP WOULD RUN FOR A FEW MOMENTS AND THEN STALL I BELIEVE THAT THERE WAS 2 DIFFERENT PROBLEMS WITH HIS JEEP, AT THE TIME OF HIS REPAIR WE DIDN'T FIND A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON OR ANY CODES IN HIS JEEPS COMPUTER. I DON'T BELIEVE THAT ITS MY RESPONSIBLY TO PAY FOR [redacted]S DAMAGED PARTS WHEN HE REFUSED NEEDED REPAIRS TO HIS VEHICLE SINCERELY YOURS [redacted], OWNER.
