Blacksmith Fence Company Reviews (7)

First of all this is not just an iron fence, we have no problems with the iron fence at her houseThis is an iron fence/wood combo fence, they wanted this to give them some privacy for their poolWhen we originally met and they had ask for the iron/wood combo fence they did not like the price that I had quotedSo they wanted a cheaper version of the iron wood fence comboI explained to them that this is not a perfect fence and would rattle some and would probably need some maintenanceThey called several times and said there were problems with the fence and I went out and fixed those problemsThey kept having problems so I told [redacted] that only way we can fix this is replace them with a better designObviously she was wanting me to do this at my expense and actually I was willing to do this but it was going to be when I could fit it in to my scheduleThis is a case where the customer didn't want to spend the money to do it right and when it went wrong wanted me to pay for itI have been very responsive to this customer, but I don't like it when someone wants me to fix there problems for free and then wants to strong arm me or leverage me with threats and the Revdex.comI was willing to replace these panels at a time when I could fit into my scheduleThat would be giving away product for freeUnder these circumstances I am no longer willing to repair these at no costI installed the fence that they ordered, I serviced their needs as they asked, I also explained the risks of the design of these panelsI feel that I do not owe this customer any further repairs or replacement at no cost

I am not sure if the business owner is confused as to the case he is respondingThat being said, I will reiterate that we NEVER had any discussions about there being structural or inferiority issues with the designWhen he came out for the estimate we mentioned that we would like some paneling for privacy and were told that the design is no problem at all, and we were even referred to a few jobs that he displayed on his website To further clarify, we have never asked for the entire fence to be replacedThis is new information to usIf you review the original filing to the Revdex.com, it was not a threat, but an effort of last resort to have simple repair made that we requested in April on an area of the fence that needs to be re-welded because a section keeps popping loose It would appear that the piece of iron used to weld the area originally is too small and doesn't holdThe other two repairs only consisted of re-welding the same thin piece of iron that had broke loose His response to the Revdex.com is the first we have heard regarding any intent to redesign or rebuild the fence As previously stated, we were unaware that the repair would go beyond a little extra iron and weld We would only receive text messages that his crew would be out that week, multiple times, and never showedI would have to take the initiative to prompt him again Sometimes my texts would be followed another response that the crew would be out, only to no show repeatedly without additional communication unless I made the effort to contact him again Secondly, when the first two repairs were made by re-welding the same spot, only a couple of wood panels were bad burned and damaged We are only asking that those burned panels be replaced NEVER have we ever asked for all of the paneling and fence to be replaced As a result, we remain confused by his response I will reiterate that we would like the repair to be made in that area in a fashion that will not continually come apart, and the burned panels to be replaced Pictures of the area and panels that need attention have been sent to the business owner multiple times for his reference Regarding his comment on the timeliness of the repair, I would like to reiterate that we have been understanding to his timing needs considering this last repair request has been going on since April Furthermore, one can only become skeptical when you are repeatedly told over the course of an month time frame that it will get taken care of, only to be followed by inactionOur requests are not unreasonable and would like for the issues to be resolved within the next days

There is really no way that I can argue when the other party is less than truthfulI fulfilled every part of my contract until the threw me out of there houseI have all their fence panels to prove it

I am not sure what she I claiming to be hereI installed a fence that was not the best design to incorporate wood with ironI explained the problems that could occurThat being said, I have still been very responsive to this customer, made several trips after the fence was installed to correct the problemsI called *** and told her that repairing this fence further would not do any good and that I would work out a different design and replace those panels in questionI was willing to do this at my expense so I am not sure what the complaint is aboutIf its timing then when I am going to spend thousands of dollars to replace a fence just to keep this customer satisfied I am going to do this at my convenienceI do not feel responsible for this fence but I do attempt to satisfy all of my customersI am unwilling to be threatened and leveraged with Revdex.com because I cant get free fence to them fast enoughThe offer to replace these panels is off the tableI would possibly consider under the right conditions to come and repair any welds one more time

It is a shame that there has to be people in the world like thisAs far as the disputed amount the customer owes me $I manufactured there fence to the exact specifications and matched perfectly a picture that they submittedI also custom built a front gate to there courtyard in which the
customer was very happy withWhat happened here is that when I came to install there fence I noticed that our fab shop had failed to add the puppy barsSo I told the customer I apologized but we did not have the puppy bars and that we would take them back and add them and then powder coat the panels againThe customer had expressed that there were gaps in the scroll workNow understand that this woman is the most foul mouthed, crude, rude, and obnoxious person I have ever met in my lifeShe f bombed me and called me every f word combo she could come up withI told her that she was going to have to find a more professional way to communicate with meI left, then came back the next day to give them an update on there fence and to show the customer that we had the scrollwork to fill the gapsThat we could only install this way because the scrollwork would hit the fence postsShe decided to go ahead and f bomb me again and call me every f bomb combo she could come up withI again told her that I wouldn't take her abuse and she would have to find a more professional way to communicate she the told me I was a F-ing Cat(she didn't say cat) and then tried to tell me after showing me a picture that we exactly copied that she wanted it differentI told her she was lying and she f bomb me out of the houseBut note all of there work was done except installation of the fence, the fence posts where installedThere fence was also completely manufactured this is the most costly of the processSo I did about $worth of work and was paid $3400. The statement by the business owner is absolutely false.  We never had a problem with the original price of the fence and never negotiated the price down.  The original price he offered is the price we paid in cash.  Nor were we ever informed that he used an inferior product until we read his response to the Revdex.com.  I have countless text messages from ** confirming that he would be out to make the welding repair without any issue.  In fact, I received a message from him the very day I submitted this complaint that he would be out to make the repair.  It is no surprise to us that this was another empty promise. We have been honest, patient and understanding regarding the timeliness and the way this repair has been handled.    The false accusations are offensive. We would just like the repair made without having to fight the business owner or be out of pocket for something under warranty.

First of all this is not just an iron fence, we have no problems with the iron fence at her house. This is an iron fence/wood combo fence, they wanted this to give them some privacy for their pool. When we originally met and they had ask for the iron/wood combo fence they did not like the price that...

I had quoted. So they wanted a cheaper version of the iron wood fence combo. I explained to them that this is not a perfect fence and would rattle some and would probably need some maintenance. They called several times and said there were problems with the fence and I went out and fixed those problems. They kept having problems so I told [redacted] that only way we can fix this is replace them with a better design. Obviously she was wanting me to do this at my expense and actually I was willing to do this but it was going to be when I could fit it in to my schedule. This is a case where the customer didn't want to spend the money to do it right and when it went wrong wanted me to pay for it. I have been very responsive to this customer, but I don't like it when someone wants me to fix there problems for free and then wants to strong arm me or leverage me with threats and the Revdex.com. I was willing to replace these panels at a time when I could fit into my schedule. That would be giving away product for free. Under these circumstances I am no longer willing to repair these at no cost. I installed the fence that they ordered, I serviced their needs as they asked, I also explained the risks of the design of these panels. I feel that I do not owe this customer any further repairs or replacement at no cost.
