Blackstone Development is probably the worst real estate agency in North Philadelphia. I and some friends have rented a room at [redacted] N [redacted] street and have been unhappy with the management ever since we signed the lease. As soon as we signed, our real estate agent, [redacted] has ignored our emails, been rude to us, and has withheld maintenance.
We moved into the apartment in the beginning of august this year. When we walked in we found holes in the wall, broken and missing shelves in the cabinets, doors that are split right down the middle, smashed door handles, burnt out lights, doors that aren't installed correctly and jam, and missing tiles on our cabinets. The first day we moved in, August 8th 2015, we sent an email to [redacted] with all of the above mentioned in order to get a maintence crew to fix everything. It has now been 5 weeks and have seen no significant maintenence fixes.
The maintenence crew has come to fix the hole in the wall but instead of fixing it, they put a small round plastic guard that covers half the hole. The worst thing about maintenence is that they don't notify you when they come, which is an absolute breach of privacy in every sense of the word.
Blackstone Development is an awful place to rent from. I give them a 0/10.
