Looking for refund of $203.26 from Blacksun which was deducted from our [redacted] account a month ahead of the subscription renewal date (May 21/16). Contacted [redacted] at Blacksun April 2016 by email advising him that we no longer required this service and asked him to cancel the subscription. He agreed to do this, however, in our first email he neglected to advise that he had already automatically renewed the service on April 21, 2016 for another one year subscription. I received my [redacted] Statement of Account and found that the sum of $203.26 had been deducted on April 21, 2016 a full month ahead of the actual renewal date. I contacted [redacted] again at Blacksun and asked him to reimburse my [redacted] account, however, he advised that he could not do this as he stated: "Auto-renew is processed 30 days prior to your renewal date. Had you wished to have cancelled, we would have needed to know more than 30 days prior to tour expiry date." He goes on to say Where I agree with your option to cancel, we pay for your services when they are renewed. I cannot get refunded for what I have paid on your behalf thus the reason I cannot offer one to you. This service was set for renewal on May 21, 2016 and not April 21 2016, however in reading his email he clearly states they need to know more than 30 days in advance if someone wishes to cancel their service. Their website states they have a 30 day Money Back Guarantee. Right now, they are telling me that I have to pay this subscription for another year, expiring on May 21, 2017.I feel that I contacted Blacksun early enough to cancel my subscription and I wish to have this matter resolved before the new term kicks in, as they will probably claim that it is too late now as I am into my new subscription period. Desired SettlementI wish to receive a refund on my [redacted] Account prior to May 21, 2016 and before the new term comes into effect. Business Response Business called and stated the funds have been refunded to the consumer and the matter is resolved. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)I have received a refund of the monies on my Credit Card. [redacted]
