In regards to [redacted] ***'s complaint the reason we did not do the job is because the way [redacted] wanted it to be done will not hold up and just fall apart down the road as I suggested all the original Asphalt needs to be removed regraded and relayedI offered [redacted] my professional opinion and what I thought needed to be done and he disagreed with my suggestions therefore I didn't feel comfortable doing the work for [redacted] ***

The reason the bid changed is because when I first looked at the driveway it was covered in six inches of snowThe driveway was described as having a couple bad area's when everything cleared off the driveway I hade a better understanding of the problems that were going on that's the reason for the price change my opinion was the hole driveway needs taken out and redone Like I stated before I don't think the job is going to hold the way the homeowner was wanting it done so I do not feel comfortable doing the job if it's not going to hold

I am rejecting this response because:The representative of the company inspected my driveway several times to check for moisture levels when there was no snow present, responding that they had to wait until the driveway dried out more, spanning an extra week beyond the original start date.  The recommendation for replacing the entire driveway was not presented until two weeks after the original proposed start day for repair and after several visits by the company.  I have since secured another company to repair the driveway without the need to replace the entire driveway.
