Spoke to Patrick at business and the following was relayed: There is no set price which is clearly posted in my shop that estimates are only estimatesI charge $per hour for tattoo work and he received hours of tattooing for $300, which he paid for up front which is unusual as I do not usually collect money until after the workWhile I was out smoking a cigarette he attempted to turn down my timer and instead turned the power all the way upWhen I returned and began to use the equipment again everything shorted outHe paid for hours of tattooing and he received hours of tattooingI did not want him to return as I cannot trust him in my shop

When Patrick Vail was working out of [redacted] Tattoo store he did a lot of work on my fiances Tattoo. This tattoo was stated as costing a total of $600. When Patrick opened his own shop he started charging $150 an hr. The $600 tattoo would have ended up costing $1200 when done. The $600 was already paid to Patrick at [redacted]. He not only didn't give [redacted] any notice he was leaving but he promised us he would make it up to us because he left [redacted] the day of our appts. While Patrick was tattooing my fiancé he was having problems with his equipment. When he claims he and his girlfriend saw him messing with his timer control (which he didn't ) he never said a word and I found out 2 weeks later from my niece that he was no longer welcome there unless he paid for his new equipment. He has NO proof whatsoever that my fiancé did anything and if he saw him why didn't he confront him right then and there. He slandered him on [redacted] saying he wasn't welcome in his shop anymore because he called him a junky. My fiancé has 2 cervical herniated discs and takes pain medication for it. He is not a junky. [redacted]
[redacted]. All we want is the $300 back from that night. We have been nothing but nice, patient and have tipped him very well. He has been at 3 tattoo shops in the span of 6 months. He's cancelled/changed our appts and we've been very civil and nice to him about it. It's not fair that he is blaming him for equipment that was clearly already damaged in some way. Patrick just didn't want to have to buy new equipment. All we want is the $300 from that night. As it is the tattoo is 3/4 done and he has to find another artist to finish it, costing him more money.
