Review: Purchased a used transmission from Bladensburg, MD with 101 days warranty. Paid $1,796.00. The transmission failed on a return trip from my hometown NC and I got the car towed back to the shop. Bladensburg Transmission's warranty guaranteed a replacement transmission within 101 days in the event something happened with the transmission and they did not honor their committment. Bladensburg transmission replaced my transmission with a transmission from the junk yard "salvage" place and did not issue another warranty. I am terrified with the replacement. I do not know from day to day whether or not this transmission will fail me and Bladensburg transmission refussed to place a warranty on the transmission that was replaced' stated the warranty was only good for the first transmission however the first transmission failed within the 101 days.Desired Settlement: Refund of money or warranty with replacement as with the original purchase. His professionalism was brutle and he refused to assist me with explanation as to why he's not issuing a new warranty on a replaced transmission that he purchased from a "salvage" yard. I patronized Bladensburg Transmission because of the warranty offer - I would not have purchased a transmission from a company that does not offer a warranty - now I'm scared daily driving my car not knowing if it will shut down on me like it did with the first transmission returning from NC. Please help - I'm retired living on a fixed income and in need of reliable transportation. Ultimately, I would like a refund in efforts of going to another place to purchase a used transmission with a warranty even if I have to save up and add more money in the event another shop charges more.

Response:
Received a call from a [redacted] from Bladensburg Auto regarding this complaint. He said he has been in business for 50 years and this is the first complaint sent to him by the Revdex.com.
He stated the original transmission was covered under the warranty but not the replacement. He felt this was a common business practice. He stated this was a courtesy call to respond to the complaint and refused to send anything in writing.
