Blades HVAC

Review: I made an appointment to have my two geothermal units serviced by Blades HVAC. They installed the units when our home was built in 2010. I have had a prepaid maintenance contract with them for several years to service the units in the Fall & Spring. They were supposed to arrive at my home between 8 AM & 10 AM. At 10:30, there was still no one at my home & no one from Blades had bothered to call me to alert me that they would be late. I called the company & was told that they had several service calls to attend to due to the heat spell that were are having. They would be by sometime later today after noon. I told them that this was unacceptable. They just didn't seem tot get it. I had a SCHEDULED appointment time that I booked WEEKS ago, yet they totally dropped the ball & went to someone else's home to repair their HVAC system. I had my spouse at the home specifically waiting during the scheduled time, but had to leave when they did not show during the appointed time. When my spouse arrived back home, Blades had left a note on the door saying that they missed us. Wow. I wonder how that feels. This is not the first time that this has happened. The company routinely does this when we have scheduled appointments. When we call, we are told that "someone will be out today." Unacceptable. Unfortunately, I have prepaid for a maintenance contract for several years. I will be asking for a refund of the unused portion. Our time is very valuable to us. we were warned upon moving to lower Delaware that many companies do not show up on time, if they ever arrive at all. I am not used to doing business with a company that has this mindset. Desired Settlement: Seek refund of unused portion of prepaid maintenance contract.
