Blaesi's Auto Reviews (1)

This letter is in response to your letter, dated May 6, 2016, subject as above.First, Blaesi's Automotive takes seriously the safety of our customers and the quality of our workAny complaint in this regard is treated as a serious issueBelow is our response (this complaint. On or about February
4, 2016, *** *** brought the above referenced vehicle to our repair shopThe odometer reflected 166,milesShe complained of a grinding sound whenever she applied the brakes, attempting to slow or stop the vehicleWe conducted a complete inspection of the vehicle and advised the customer that she neglected the work listed on repair order It 24672, a copy of which is attached. Her brake system was completely worn downThe brake pads were worn to the point that she experienced "metal to metal" when she applied the brakes, causing the grinding she had been hearingIn addition to the brake work necessary, we identified other front end repairs that needed to be performed, required to make the vehicle safe for driving, detailed on the attached work orderFinally, we noticed that a NYS vehicle inspection was due.Customer acknowledged all information given to herShe told us to proceed with the identified repairsThe work was completed as stated on repair order# Customer indicated her satisfaction and paid the bill in fullDuring our discussion with her in which we identified the results of our inspection, we advised her that the metal brake lines had significant surface rust but were not leaking at that time.Second, it is not the policy of Blaesi's Automotive Incto up sell work that does not need to be performedIt is also not our policy to attempt to predict component and/or system failure(s).We had no way of predicting that the lines would failDoing so generally results in higher than necessary repair costs. On or about May 5, 2016, that above referenced vehicle was towed into our repair facility for a low brake pedal concernInitial inspection revealed that the metal hydraulic brake lines to the left and right rear brake flex hoses had developed leaksAn estimate was provided to the customer to effect necessary repairsThe proper repair would be to replace both hard hydraulic brake lines from the ABS hydraulic unit to both rear flex brake hoses. The suggested repairs were declined by the customer on that dateThe customer had the vehicle towed from our shopShe did not advise us of any dissatisfaction at that time.Lastly, it is our understanding that the customer is requesting a free repairIt is her contention that, apparently, our failure to predict the future event (i.ebrake line leakage) is a precursor to our requirement to repair the lines for freeShe does not complain about any of the repairs previously performedHad we suggested that the failure of the lines was imminent, at the time of the original repair, the cost of the repair would have been the same as the subsequent estimate. While we regret that she is dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, we do not believe we have done anything other than provide high quality automotive repairs at a reasonable price. We stand ready to effect the suggested repairs. In light of this information, we ask that the Revdex.com resolve this complaint in our favorIf you have any questions or require additional information, please let us know
