Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolutionPlease respond here ONLY]He continues to be dishonest and by now is patronizingI have included photographic evidence that proves the dishonestyThe hand written contract dictates that he demanded full payment in cash upfront in the form of down payment and the remaining balance at time of start of the projectThe hand written business card dictates payment in full was made for the work at time of startI don't know why Blaine continues to lie about thisPerhaps it is considered unethical business practices or is against tax law...I don't know, but it does not change the fact that it is soFrom the photos provided, it is obvious that the driveway and "gravel spread" is ridiculously incomplete and horrible craftsmanshipBlaine was suppose to level the land before installing the septic but chose not to do what he was paid upfront to doAnd, since the septic tank was buried so shallow, I could not pay [redacted] to do so because it would not allow for the one foot drainage regulationBlaine was supplied with [redacted] contact information which he expressed that he did contact them to make sure he was on the same page as [redacted] ***, but if he had then he would know that land leveling is not part of the set up not to mention that he was paid upfront to do the leveling himselfWhen [redacted] came to deliver the home, they informed me of the improper work, and so I called Blaine so that [redacted] could speak with himHe was on speaker phone in front of [redacted] ***, myself, and my sister which is also my representative which Blaine knew was the caseAs he put it, "she should have had her ducks in a rowIts not my problem since my work past code." That was his quote and he didn't care even though his work was mostly unusableI called him the next day on my own, and that is when he was irate on the phone with meI had to tell him not to speak with me disrespectfully and take his anger out on me just because he felt insulted that my sister would question his work in front of other construction professionalsAfter I explained to Blaine that I could not and would not pay him to fix his mistakes, that is when he stated that he would send me $for the "pad" that was not completed$is nothing compared to what it will cost me to fix his mistakes that he was paid to have done correctly the first timeWhen I did not receive the refund, I knew that Blaine would still not be willing to fix his mistakesBlaine did what was easiest for himself and not what he was paid to do and agreed upon at time of paymentIt now seems to me that since he demanded and was paid in cash upfront, he no longer cared about the finished productI don't care how long Blaine claims to have been in business, when a company does wrong to a customer, the company should be willing to make it right, and not defend poor unfinished workThat is why requesting only a 50% refund is more than reasonableThat way only some of the labor hours are refunded and not the cost of the supplies since I technically received them? Regards, [redacted]

** It is unfortunate that this company does not have the ability to be honest. I never received a money order for $100. He did demand the money up front and the business card was my receipt. It has the date 6/1/15 $5400 paid in full written on it. I can scan and send it if necessary. Nowhere near was the "driveway" 40 feet long and roots and dirt show thru. I don't feel that as a disabled female, that I should have to be bullied out my money in this manner. When I attempted to address problems in a civil manner, he began to get irate by getting loud and cursing. I hope that a resolution can be found to this situation.

The hand written contract dictates that he demanded full payment in cash upfront in the form of down payment and the remaining balance at time of start of the project. I have installed numerous driveways and septic systems. I excuted and completed this job as I have many others all by state and local codes and guidelines. This job was handled no different than any other job. I request half payment when the job starts and balanced paid in full when the job is complete. I received a call from the client’s sister (aka witness) she called me yelling & cursing at me. The client called me afterwards and apologized for her sister’s actions. I told the client I will no longer discuss or speak to your sister about this project again. If she is at the project site, I will load up and leave. I work for the client, not the client’s sister. At this time we discussed the $100 pad clearing for the mobile home, it was the clients understanding a concrete pad was to be made poured. I explained to the client it would cost several hundred dollars more for concrete. We agreed at this time I would return the $100. The next day I purchased a money order and mailed it to her. This is the first I have heard that the client did not receive it. I have had no follow up calls from this client. • Septic installed- Complete • Culvert installed- Complete • Driveway installed- Complete • Gravel spread- Complete • Pad for mobile home cleared- Complete • Over grown vegetation & trees cleared- Complete Everything requested by the client was completed in a professional manner as it is at all job sites when Blaine and Associates are involved. Response: Approximately the end of May or first of June, I, [redacted] Blaine, owner of Blaine & Associates met with the client & her witness (her sister) at job site in Scottsville. We agreed upon the following scope of work: install a 1,000 gallon septic tank, install lateral lines, cleared off over grown vegetation & trees approximately 2 acres that was hindering the work to be performed, install driveway, a culvert, add rock to driveway & clear area where mobile home is to be placed. The client asked me for an estimate of this project, at that time I wrote on the back of my business card, $5,400. That was NOT a receipt, it was an estimate. At this time, I explained to the client & witness (her sister) the septic system would indicate placement of the mobile home. Due to the lay of the land, the septic system had to be place at the specific location that it is in to work properly & to follow all local & state guidelines as required. The septic system was installed by codes & passed all inspections. The driveway was cleared, installed culvert, installed 24’wide driveway, approximately 40’ long. Twenty-two tons of rock/gravel was laid on the driveway. The driveway placement was down the hill due to the witness’ (her sister) existing septic system location. Met with client & witness (her sister) explained this placement, all agreed upon. Cleared off vegetation area for mobile home to set on at an additional cost of $100. The area was cleared, the client called asking about a concrete pad for the mobile home, she said she thought a concrete pad would be placed, I explained to her the $100 was for removing the vegetation only, a concrete pad would cost several hundreds of dollars. The client was upset, I offered her the $100 back. I mailed her a $100 money order the next day. Usually the mobile home company will level out the pad & set the block as part of set up. The client paid $2,000 down, when the job was started, when the job was complete the client paid $3,400. Payment was paid in full. Blaine & Associates executed & completed the job scope that was agreed upon by the client; complete septic system, cleared off over grown vegetation & trees approximately 2 acres, cleared pad for mobile home, installed driveway, culvert & rock/gravel with flares on both sides of driveway.
