Review: We have purchased tickets for the "Nutcracker" ballet to be shown at the Mishler Theatre on December 14, 2013 at 7:30 p.m. This event was postponed until December 15, 2013 at 7:30 p.m., due to inclement weather. We cannot make this event due to our work schedules. I purchased 2 adult tickets and 2 child tickets, from http://www.mishlertheatre.org, totaling $78.00, after taxes and other box office charges. I tried numerous times already to call the box office about a refund, but they refuse to pick up their phone. I sent them an email about refunds but I am unsure how long that will take.Desired Settlement: Refund the total charge of $78.00

We have received your letter of December16 regarding the complaint your organization received from [redacted], ID #[redacted]. Please be advised that the BCAF’s Mishler Theatre Box Office acts as a fiduciary agent only and, as such, all funds received from ticket sales are passed through to those organizations leasing the theatre. The Lessee in this case, [redacted] Company, has received the proceeds from the Nutcracker ticket sales, so this complaint would be appropriately directed to their office for response. We would, however, for the sake of clarity, like to respond to that portion of Mr. [redacted]’s complaint that does pertain to the Blair County Arts Foundation. There has never been a time during normal business hours, which are Monday through Friday, from 11:30 AM until 5:30 PM and one hour prior to each performance, that the box office personnel have refused to pick up the telephone. And, in point of fact, as soon as we received Mr. [redacted]’s e-mail, our box office manager, [redacted]r [redacted], not only returned his e-mail, but also left voice mail messages for him at both telephone numbers provided. We hope this concludes the Blair County Arts Foundation’s involvement in this matter, but will be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have.

I have called the Mishler Theatre numerous times with no answer, during business hours. [redacted] emailed me stating that their office was not involved with proceeds, and days after her email, she called my phone twice, while I was working. If she ([redacted]) and her company are not the problem, there is no reason to be calling me, correct? What could we possibly discuss if she can do nothing to help the situation? The Blair County Arts foundation says they are not involved with the [redacted] company...yet any email exchanged is sent to me AND the other company. I am not sure why the [redacted] is not getting back to the Revdex.com. They apparently have never been filed against and thinks it just goes away if they avoid it. Something seems off. I'm not going to write a book here and take up all of your time, but this does need investigated further, please.
