Review: They installed new electrical circuits in my rental property and forgot to turn the power back on to the breaker that runs my sump pump. The sump pump didn't run and my basement flooded causing me $500 in damages. I asked them for help to pay for SOME of the costs for the cleanup. They blamed another contractor but he was not in there during the time Blalock was running the new electric lines. Basically all information/fact points to them as the one at fault. They will not take any responsibility. The oil furnace had water damage but is working now. The oil furnace may encounter problems in the future due to their malpractice. The water that flooded the area caused a backup of the sewage line.Desired Settlement: Refund the costs to cleanup the mess that they are solely responsible for. $275

I am The Chief Office Manager here at Blalock Electric LLC. First and foremost this company is no longer owned and operated by [redacted]. Blalock is under new management and is owned by a private party. I am responding on behalf of complaint II) of [redacted]. My electrician is not at fault in this complaint. We were working in the basement in which we were supervised by the companies maintenance staff In the basement there were two panels in which each breaker was tested in order to run the wires we needed to run. The breaker to the sub pump was in the off position. So the breaker was left in the off position and my electrician continued wiring. The wiring that was done was landed and is controlled in the other panel. Meaning after he investigated each box he Did NOT return to the panel which had the sub pump breaker in it. Again he was supervised by the provided maintenance man who also had access to those panels. 12/13/13 — [redacted] called my office and spoke with an associate in which she aggressively and rudely demanded $250 and blamed us solely for the damage. She never spoke to me or attempted to settle this dispute like a civilized business professional. Instead she was rude and now I am writing you this letter and dealing with the general public’s criticisms. We are more than happy to talk to her and come to some solution but we are not responsible for their errors in maintenance and electric.
