Review: Mr. [redacted] was hired to do some repair work and updating around my house. The job that he was hired to do is unfinished and he has failed to return to complete the work. We have notified him that he spilled stain and white paint in our carpet that was just installed 2 days prior, he left rooms with missing trim, paint dripping down our walls and windows, wood stain on our walls and trim, mismatched paint on our walls, unfinished drywall repair, mismatched wood stain on doors and doors that won't close properly. Mr. [redacted] is refusing to come and fix or complete any of the items mentioned and has stated the work he was hired for is complete. There are many items on the final invoice that were never done. Mr. [redacted] has already taken our money and then refused to come back unless we paid him additional funds.Desired Settlement: We would like to have the work finished correctly and the paint stains cleaned or items replaced if the stains can't be removed.

Review: Had him install a brand new toilet and flooring. Within 2-3 weeks toilet was not flushing well, finally started backing up. As I have a contract, he guarantees his work, I immediately called him. He said he was too busy, call someone else or do it yourself. Twice he said he would reimburse me any additional expense. When another company arrived they showed me how handyman had used silicone in the new toilet (no wax ring) which spread over the drain causing the back up. He also glued some kind of disc under the new toilet that can't be removed. The professional plumber said he ruined the toilet and it had to be replaced. I called Handyman back and he studdered when I asked him about the silicone and wouldn't respond. The added expense came to almost $800. He is refusing to cover this expense. He states in his letter that after observing the toilet I did not see where my work could have caused the stoppage (yet when looked at the bottom of the toilet in my presence he said...oh, I could peel all that off) and the rings on the bottom could have been PRIED off and a new ring installed (to me that is admission of shotty work). He sent me a check for $200 to "satisfy" me. Also he charged me $140 for supplies. I asked him for details to what supplies and I want the receipts. He said he doesn't keep any receipts. I expect he is charging fraudulently. Who in business does not keep receipts?Desired Settlement: Contract states...Contractor warrants (to give a guarantee or warranty for a service or product) work for a period of 12 months following completion.Since he chose not to come to fix the toilet he just recently installed, He broke the contract agreement when he told me to call someone else or do it myself, Since he stated twice "don't worry, I'll take care of it, just give me the bill". Now he is responsible for the damages incurred. His website states: I will be there whenever you need me...
