Review: After my dentist retired, [redacted] was hired into the practice and became my new dentist. During this transition there were several [redacted] changes. While the administrative changes occurred my account, with regards to billing, was dealt with improperly. My new insurance information wasn't collected and was submitted to the wrong insurance company. When my new insurance information was provided the claim wasn't submitted to my insurance company in a timely fashion, within the 90 day window, and therefor wasn't paid. After the insurance company denied payment for the service [redacted] continued to send collection notices to me several times a month. I had spoken to the [redacted], whomever it was at the time, on numerous occasions to discuss this matter. I was continuously assured that the situation would be handled and it never was. After my last complaint to the office [redacted] decided to write me a letter stating that I was responsible for the charge ( I already knew they were holding me responsible based on the collection letters). In the letter she also accused me of not providing my insurance information until after the 90 day window, and stated specific dates in which the office attempted to contact me for the new information. I do agree that the office contacted me once and it was during that phone call that I provided the new insurance information, I faxed it to them. I firmly stated to all of the [redacted]s that contacted me that I was felt I wasn't responsible for the charge because they didn't submit the claim in time. The office is small and I have been a patient there since 2007. I never experienced this type of issue before [redacted] and before the turnover rate of their [redacted]s increased drastically. When I call I do not know who I am speaking to, they don't know me. When they call me they never state their name. I understand if record keeping is challenging for them due to the high turnover rate, but that is not my problem.Desired Settlement: They need to write off the charge. I'm not paying it because they cannot submit insurance claims in a timely fashion.
