I contacted them in August to see about small leaks I found in my roof. The representative was clean, knowledgeable and seemed professional.
He examined the roof and told me he could not tell exactly where the leak was originating from, but we could try to seal around some vents and see if the fix worked during the next rain. If the fixes didn't work, we could try something else if I wanted to. I agreed, and they did the work.
Next time it rained, the leaks were not as heavy, but still there nonetheless, (Which was not surprising because we knew we were using the process of elimination to find the origin of the leaks). I began to call Blanco to set up the follow up visit, like we had agreed on before. At first, they would tell they will come by "tomorrow" or "later this week", but no one ever showed. Then, they just wouldn't answer at all.
This went on for about three weeks, and by this time my invoice from the work that they did do came in, so I went to the office to pay and get an explanation for why I got stood up of the follow up work. The guy in the office proceeded to tell my that the field representative had been busy lately because of the recent flooding in the Baton Rouge area had brought them so much extra work(not sure why a roofing company would be that busy with flood recovery, but oh well), and he was sorry. He was to have his field representative contact my ASAP about the follow up work. As you might have guessed, I've heard nothing from them since.
They did complete the work we initially agreed on, so at least this experience didn't go that far south, but they did not even attempt the follow up work, like we had agreed on, and not returning my calls/texts was extremely frustrating. The excuse that they were too busy to work on my house due to flood recovery work was wrong on several levels.
I would highly recommend thinking twice before dealing with this shady bunch for any roofing needs, as they have proven to my that they can't handle even the smallest jobs.
I am glad this happened now, though, because I will be getting a new roof in the next couple of years, and I will be taking my business and money elsewhere.
