I do not accept Bland Solar and Air's response for the following reasons:
1)Bland claims they can not keep track of all their customers. This is a concerning statement and demonstrates a level of incompetence on their record keeping procedures. I find it very troubling that they can not keep track of customers who have purchased and install solar panels on their roof tops from Bland; solar panels are fixed to roof tops and don't normally move addresses. To add, Bland gives a 10 year warranty to its customers who place Bland installed solar panels on their roofs; how do they keep track of this? They have to have customer records if they expect to keep up with the warranties they guarantee. Beyond that, since purchasing solar from Bland, they have continued to send me email promotional offers and solicitations, but they claim they can not contact me to notify me of "promotional" changes; this to is troubling! I have kept records of these emails. This shows that Bland has the ability to contact and notify customers of policy changes.
2)Bland claims my agreement to a $1000 referral fee was just a "promotional offer," with limited time. However, the $1000 referral fee was never described to me as a limited promotional offer. Instead, my sales rep. [redacted] told me I would get this every time I referred someone to Bland, who purchased a solar system. In fact, my sales rep. [redacted] told me I would be grandfathered into the $1000 referral fee because that was the agreement when I made my purchase. Thus the reason I received a $1000 dollars when I made my first referral. Now, they are refusing to honor their agreement by offering me only $500 for my referrals.
This is an alarming situation, especially coming from a company claiming to be a reputable organization. Bland has made a combined total of about $75,000 off of me, my friend's and family who I have referred. But they refused to pay the $1000 referral they promised me, to date they have only paid half of the $1000.
At the time of my purchase, Bland failed to mention to its customers that the referral fee was subject to change, leading customers to have false hope. As in my case, I feel like I have been "swindled" by a company claiming to be a trustworthy establishment. They are attempting to "down-play" the situation, instead of just honoring their agreement.
I hope and expect that Bland would resolve this situation as soon as possible and relieve the undue stress this has caused me and family.
