We were without A/C over a three-day weekend in Omaha with temperatures over 100 degrees. My HVAC guy was on his one week vacation of the year, and I had no one else I trusted to call in an emergency. Fortunately, I was outside borrowing a fan from my neighbor across the street and my neighbor [redacted] was out walking his dog. He told me his friend [redacted] Blankman had an HVAC company so I called him on Monday morning and he sent a tech, [redacted], out that very afternoon. [redacted] was amazing! Friendly, knowledgeable, fast, and professional. He replaced some parts, tested the unit, refilled the Freon, all within an hour, and we were back in cool A/C heaven! I originally called Blankman Services to get a second opinion when both of my heaters went out at the same time ([redacted]). [redacted] and his crew were experienced and knowledgeable enough to successfully diagnose the problems with both units when others didn't. While I had to replace the downstairs unit, they saved the parts from the replaced unit for use on the upstairs unit, should it break in the future. Other companies told me I had to replace both units and misdiagnosed the problem with the upstairs unit. While Blankman Services were replacing the downstairs heater, I had them run some ductwork for a kitchen hood, bathroom fan, and two clothes dryers. All the work was done quickly and professionally and I was extremely happy with the service and quality of work. After the kitchen ductwork was installed, I had some buyers remorse concerning the newly installed vent on the outside of the house. It rattled due to the wind. This was not anyone at Blankman's fault because I specified that standard vents be installed in the first place. However when I told [redacted] Blankman about the issue, he allowed me to order a special windproof vent. His crew installed it for me at no additional charge the day after the part arrived. I can't ever see calling anyone else for any future HVAC needs.
