Review: I applied for an apartment with Willow Run in Carmichael - I am not getting a response from [redacted] or Corporate as promised - I want a refund of 35.00

I paid $ 35.00 on 7/25/13 to account # ending in [redacted] - I have yet to hear from [redacted] at Willow Run I would like a refund immediately - I have never had to wait This Long for a response regarding renting an apartment, perhaps this is a tactic to discourage... Desired Settlement: $35.00

An application to rent an apartment was received by the complainant via fax on the afternoon of July 25th 3013 (Thursday)

The application fee of $35.00 was paid directly into our Company account using the complainant's local branch, [redacted] St. [redacted] XXXXX also on the 25th July 2013.

After confirming payment of the application fee, the application was forwarded to the company whom perform our tenant screening. The application was sent via fax at 4:11pm to them also on Thursday the 25th July 2013

As the 25th July was a Thursday and the application was faxed late that afternoon, it is possible that the screening company would have started the screening process the next day - Friday 26th July 2013.

On the following Monday morning 29th July, the complainant telephoned the office at around 10:00am demanding to know if her application had been successful. The complainant was informed that the screening company had not completed the process and that the manager would contact the screening company for an update.

The complainant telephoned back about 1-hour later and left an abusive message on the office answering machine, calling the office manager a "[redacted]" this message was recorded and is available should this matter remain unresolved.

The screening report was received from the screening company at 2:36pm on Monday 29th July 2013. The office manager then called the complainant but there was no answer and the manager left a message asking the complainant to return the call. Two further calls were made but there was no answer and the office manager felt the complainant was too embarrassed to answer the call due to the abusive message which she had left earlier.

An official "NOTICE OF DENIAL TO RENT" as supplied by the California Apartment Association was posted to the complainant on the 29th July 2013.

This office or the manager have not spoken or heard from the complainant since.
