Bleecker Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram Reviews (2)

Bad front tires, late title fee, key program fee, paint issueI purchased a 2012 srt dodge challenger on ebay for $34,800. The advertisement specifically states "the tires appear to have no wear at all". A close up picture of one of the back tires is shown in the numerous pictures. I did not know that the front tires are worn down to the wear bar indicators which tell you it's time for new tires. On 9/8/14 I drove 6 hours to purchase the car and as it happens was pouring rain the whole time I was there. I test drove the vehicle in half flooded streets for less than five minutes because of the terrible whether and my long trip back home. I trusted the condition of the car would match the advertisement and I didn't notice that the front tires where not the same as the back tires.I arrived home very late and exhausted and the next day I stayed home sick so I didn't drive. But the next day 9/10/14 I noticed that even though the whether was good and dry the front of the car was still all over the road. When I checked I then saw that the front tires were worn out.I sent an email the same day and asked the dealer to pay for new tires but they said no and that it was my responsibility to inspect the car. I think that is unfair. The new tires with alignment cost me $513.72 on 9/12/14.I have receipts, pictures and copies of the advertisement.I also had some other unexpected expenses I feel I should be reimbursed for:1. The dealer took more than 30 days to send me the title papers to register the car. I had to pay $18 late fee2. The dealer was missing one of the keys to the car. They finally sent me another key which they told me to take to my local dealer. I had to pay a $30 program fee and wait an hour. One last problem I have it that the paint on the car is covered with swirl marks. I haven't taken it to my detail guy to see how much it will cost to fix but I figure about $300-$500 depending on how hard it is to remove. You can only see the marks in the sunshine. Of course it was raining hard when I bought the car. The salesmen specifically stated that the paint was perfect on the phone. We spoke about it because this car had a paint issue history.Desired SettlementI would like a check for $561.72 plus whatever it cost to fix the paint.Business Response /[redacted]/Concerning Mr.[redacted]'s purchase off of our Ebay motors listing. We will be glad to refund the $18.00 late title fee and the $30.00 programing fee for the remote that was given to him Free of charge ($268.00). In the matter of the tires, All 4 tires exceeded NC safety inspection requirements. Concerning the swirl marks in the paint , [redacted] purchased a used car "As Is" with only the remaining factory warranties available. This unit was also listed as a Manufacturer buy back unit with full disclosure signed buy the customer. I have 4 pages of documentation to submit.Consumer Response /[redacted]/Yes I will accept the payment for the programming fee and the late registration fee.I have pictures of the front tires and although they may have passed your inspection my complaint is specific to the advertisement which stated the tires apprear to have no wear at all when in reality the front tires were at end of life. The back ties were new looking like stated in the ad. I only expect to get what was advertised. As for the buyback, the paperwork is for the paint on the hood and the problem was 100% rectified by the manufacturer. I was specifically complaining about swirl marks which are the result of a poor detail job. I was specifically advised by the salesman that the paint was now perfect. I also found a few chips and 1 ding also far from perfect but to be expect in a used car. The major thing was that in the direct sun light you could see swirlmarjs up and down the whole car. The day I bought it it was raining heavily. I had the car waxed and buffed fir $50. I am not sure if that took out the marks or just covered it up but it looks good now. Overall I like my car and would have bought it anyway if these thing would have been disclosed up front. I just feel like there were some mistakes made in representation of the condition and I deserve to be compensated to be fair.
