Ms. [redacted] never once called me or texted me or came to my shop that was open daily to the public. I did call her and asked her to come to my shop or stop by my house so we can figure this out. Apparently a complaint the Revdex.com was more suited for her character. She had many opportunities to resolve this in a professional personal manner like adults do. But instead hid behind a keyboard and sent a complaint littered with lies and exaggerations to plead her case.
I had asked Ms. [redacted] many times to refund her in person and she refused. Likely because she knows she lied in her complaint and couldnt face me afterwards. She asked me to mail her the refund
but I do not have a checking account for the business as I do everything approved through my accountant with cash. I also never ever mail anything, didnt have stamps available or a means of mailing other than the post office. If Im going to drive to the post office, Id rather drive to the clients home to personally refund them and have them sign a refund statement as proof of a refund. So I drove to her houseover a half hour away to meet with her personally. When I arrived and exited my vehicle her boyfriend came out side flashing his handgun. I was not intimidated. How foolish. I nicely and calmly asked for [redacted] and he said it was not necessary to see her for the refund. I indicated I had a refund statement for her to sign and he then showed his handgun on his body again. Goodness. At that point I realized the level of integrity I was dealing with and just gave the cash, got in my car, and went about the rest of day completely confused and slightly entertained by this theater production.
In closing, It took me so long to respond to this complaint because it was under review with my attorney. After review of our personal conversation a cease and desist letter was drafted on Ms. [redacted]sbehalf. I have gotten the clearance to now send a rebuttal. Then its free. I require a 150.00 or half the cost of the cake as a non refundable deposit to hold your date. cash or check only.would you like to just do a consult or a full tasting?

Got some thing interesting in the mail a few days ago. You filed a complaint against me? You've heard so many negative things about my business? Better Yet You have evidence that I don't follow through on obligations? I've never ever ever ever missed a wedding or an obligation. I was once sick and couldn't do a cake for my best friends sister, a cake that was free and intended to be a personal gift. That is the only cake I've ever missed. I'll refund your money. No problem. I'll be deducting the 25.00 for your tasting/consultation. Let me ask you this...did you ever call me or return my call to you? Nope.Ridiculous. Cupcakes, cake, dessert bar...whatever. We sat down together to plan your wedding dessert. A simple phone call would have fixed this right up. It's absolutely normal for wedding deposits to not be returned and returned only via store credit. It's a normal thing wedding vendors do to protect us from puddle jumping brides who switch vendors a million times prior to the wedding. The reason we do this is because once I took your wedding I TURNED DOWN 7 OTHERS! Now it's late in the booking season and that weekend will likely be a financial loss for my business. My week is full and I'll be gone for most of it. I'll send your refund within a week.

This serves as record that as of May 1 2104 @ 610 pm you have been refunded 175.00. Your original deposit was 200.00. Since you are choosing not to book your cake with me any longer the cost of the tasting/consult was deducted in the amount of 25.00. Your assumed fiance (unknown name) and his handgun, received the refund on your behalf. I did have a refund statement for you to sign as proof of refund. But your fiance said you wouldn't come out when I asked for you personally. A refund statement is something professionals do as proof of your refund. I'm still not exactly sure why you did all of this and said all these terrible false things about me. You never once called me to discuss your situation and I did offer to give you in store credit which is our normal Policy. I'm just really surprised in the immature manner you have handled this. No phone calls and can't even come outside to receive your refund like a big girl.
Just wanted to let you know I have finally heard from the company and the owner gave me 175 out of the 200 dollar deposit. She was not nice at all about it.
