Revdex.com spoke with a representative from the business on October 26, who stated that a money order for the $165 had been sent out to the customer that was never cashed. They also stated that the reason for the delay on their end at that point was tracking down the money order. They finally were able to...

put a stop payment on that money order, and believe that it may have been lost in the mail. He also stated that they did re-issue the $165 refund which was processed and sent to the customer last Wednesday.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the offer and/or response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The representative that you spoke with is lying. Blessed Movers has my correct address, it was sent to them via text message. And even if they say they never received the correct address, they helped me move and should remember where my apartment is located. It has been continuous back and forth and lies with this company. My suggestion is that they send the payment to the Revdex.com to cancel out them lying about sending it to my residence. The owner has offered to meet me in the past, but being as though he knows where I live, is a shady businessman, and I live alone, I do not feel safe meeting him. I live in Richmond and if he truly did send a money order last Wednesday, I should have received it by Friday, the latest Monday. He never sent out a money order to begin with.

Their car broke down, their laborer forgot his ID, then they failed to show up and help altogether.

I scheduled 4 hours of moving help with this company for February 3, 2018 from 4-8 pm at Fort Lee, VA. All the pre-scheduling was done in mid-January (2-3 weeks prior to the move) by a woman on the phone and everything was very professional.

On February 3rd, the day the moving help was needed, I received a call at 9 am saying they wanted to unload the truck at that time because they did not currently have any jobs. I explained that I scheduled for 4 pm because the truck was not there at 9 am.

At about 430 pm, 30 minutes later than they were supposed to arrive, I received a phone call from a man saying he was the moving help and their car broke down and they needed a ride. I explained that my cars were full of stuff from the move and I could not provide a ride. I asked them to call their company or friends for a ride and they said they had no one to help. So I spent the next 30 minutes unloading my SUV (which I did not plan to do until later that evening) and made room for them.

When I showed up to pick them up, one of them asked if the rules at Fort Lee had changed. I was confused and said "well I just got here, what do you mean?" and he said the other guy forgot his ID card, then said "I don't know if he can just sit in the back, I mean that's on you if you want to get him on post to help." I obviously said no to sneaking this man on without an ID so I asked them to either retrieve the ID or get someone else to come help.

I then called the company (I assume the owner), and pleaded that I needed the help badly that day or else my whole move would be ruined. I would need the truck an additional day, I would need additional moving help and would have to shift several other planned things. He said they were on another job and so I called back every 1.5-2 hours and he continued to say they were on this other job. At around 10 pm, he finally told me he wasn't making it out to my house to help and could come at 8 am the next day.

Not wanting to risk another issue and because my plan was already shifted by 12 hours, I decided to find help elsewhere. This cost me money, time, and a lot of energy as I had to unload most of my belongings myself late into the night while I was waiting for help. It took 15 minutes to lift the 2 mattresses and 4 couches once I got help from somewhere else the next morning. 2 weeks later, I still feel pain throughout my body from having to lift so much by myself though. I missed the SuperBowl because of them shifting my plans. I wasted gas driving out to pick his guys up and then driving back without help due to no ID card. I had to pickup another load of items on Sunday and my plan was to be on the road at 6 am. Due to not having help until the next day, I didn't get on the road until 11 am and then had to drive back in the dark and rain and unload a second load late into the night missing the SuperBowl. Very disappointed in this business.

I DO NOT recommend anyone use this company. I am moving again in 4 months and this would be the last company I ever call for help. DO NOT use this company.

On the 19th. of March, 2017, my daughter and I contracted Blessed Movers to aid us in moving. My daughter was moved into our home on the 19th. of March and I on the 30th. of March. We had a beautiful move and was satisfied with our movers and their quickness of getting things done and complete. I contracted to use them again March 8, 2017. In paying for the service online I printed out my receipt and then went to my account online with my bank to make sure all was well to find the amount from my account was posted twice. I called the company number on the receipi and after several calls got someone to answer. Explained the situation of the double charging and was told I would receive a call back and get it released to my account. I have not heard from anyone and I do need this service as contracted. A good service going to pot because of what or who? This is a terrible waste and problem for small businessesw and their reputations.

On October 1, 2015, I hired Blessed Movers to move my fiance' from Williamsburg to Newport News, the movers were over an hour late arriving, and she realized after the movers left that one of her boxes was missing

Review: I recently moved into my apartment on September 1, 2015. My property was damaged during the move. I have tried to resolve the issue with the moving company, but I have only been given the run-around. My couch, bed, dresser, and mattress were damaged. I have to purchase more furniture, labor for repair and mattress covers to conceal/block the stains that are now on my mattress and box spring. This is an expense I did not expect to have. Once I explained the problem to the owner, he promised to refund me $165. He told me he would mail a money order. A lady called my phone the next night (around 9PM) stating that she was a secretary for the company. I knew something was not right because of the call being so late. She asked me to state the names of the men that helped me move because their pay would be deducted. I explained that I could not remember and that the men did not tell me their names. The next day, I contacted the owner and he said that no woman works for his company and he does not know who called me.A week later, my money order had not arrived. When I called, the owner said that he would track the money order. Another week passes and I hear nothing. I call the owner again and he pretended to be someone else. He called me back with a blocked number ten minutes later and said he would meet me to give me the refund. The next day comes, he does not call or answer my phone calls. I have not heard from him since and he still refuses to answer my calls.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $165 that the owner has promised me for the damages.
