Review: I was told to go ahead an order extra metal roof meterial that they would take what we did not use back went to take 4 valleys back and 1 ridge cap that were not cut back and was told that they could not accept it due to it being ordered. But the man I ordered it from said that they would take it back if it was not used and some woman said that we should of measured right to me if your going to serve customers you should be helpful not rudeDesired Settlement: To be able to return the product that was not needed and get my money back

All material that is considered "STOCK" at any of our locations is returnable with a receipt as long as it isn't damaged and can be resold. On the other hand if customers need us to SPECIAL ORDER material such as the Metal Roofing which is ordered with specific measurements, cuts, color etc. for that particular customer or job. Our policy is that we Do Not Return, we, (Blevins) cannot send it back to the Company for credit. There are some companies that will allow us to return special orders with a Restocking Fee which may vary from 25 to 50%, but in the situation this company does not. To our knowledge the customer was aware that only stock items are returnable, the salesperson listed on the complaint Did Not tell the customer to order extra and we would toke back what wasn't used. All of our employees at the Galax location are experienced 10+ years in Building Retail and know the policies. Also the customer who is listed on this complaint is not the person who tried to return the special order merchandise to the store.Sincerely,Blevins Building Supply[redacted], General Monger

I have reviewed the response offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I do agree with the portion of the business which states that someone else did try to return merchandise as that was my girlfriend because I work during normal business hours but I do not however agree with the rest of the terms. I was told by the associate that excess materials could be returned when he helped me calculate what I needed as I am not a professional roofer I relied on his expertise and I am now stuck with 4 extra pieces that are a custom color but are in standard links. I am very disappointed with this company and there actions. This is a bad way to conduct business in my opinionRegards,
