Blink recently changed its pricing policy and didn't notify me, a new electric vehicle driver and Blink cardholder; or the management of the office building in which I work, where I charge my car, and with whom Blink is contracted to disclose pricing changes. The price increase for me is 131% which Blink considers "fair". An increase is one thing. An increase of that size is another matter. And the lack of notification to its customers and charging station facilitators is something else entirely.

For homeowners, this means little to nothing. But for those of us living in multi-family apartment complexes, condos, etc, who are unable to plug into our house to charge, we are gouged by Blink and any other charging company who decides to increase their prices on a whim.

Without regulations in place to keep prices competitive in the budding market of electric vehicle charging, this is simply the way things are. With progress comes financial sacrifice, it seems.
