Customer purchased a central air replacement unitThe system did not qualify for a rebate and there are no tax credits availableThe customer accused me of telling her there was a rebateThen after a few conversations trying to resolve the matterShe then changed the story that my customer
service rep told her there was a rebateThe customer is mistaken as this equipment does not qualify for a rebateNormally if the equipment we sell a client qualifies for any type of rebates or incentive'sWe list it in the proposalThe client did however qualify for a $on line coupon that she was given as reflected in the contract attachedI offered her in good faith a free spring maintenance to hopefully resolve the issueA value of $and she declinedShe was a very gracious and nice person but she is mistaken about a tax credit as none existed

I have been dealing with Bloomfield Cooling & Heating & Electric for the past 3 years. I have always had a good experience when the service personnel have come to my house to repair or perform maintenance on our furnace. The office staff is helpful and polite and they make scheduling an appointment very easy. I also had a crew at my house to install a ductless air conditioning system. This included plumbers and electricians. They were very professional and cleaned up after they finished the work. I highly recommend this business.

I used Bloomfield Cooling to purchase and install a 14kv Generator at home a few years ago. They pricing was fair and their installation team was great. They took the time to explain everything to me during the bidding process and also after they got the job. They cleaned up after the job was completed. I've used them since every year to perform a preventive maintenance on the generator and last used them to also PM my central a/c unit. They show up when they say they will and explain everything to you once the job is complete. I would recommend them to anyone. And I did as my brother also called them to quote a new central heating a/c unit. Same results as above.

Review: I ordered a standby generator from the company in January of 2012. After a 6 month wait, it was installed in June of 2012. It had to be relocated twice before the generator location was able to pass inspection. Almost as soon as it was installed, the generator started malfunctioning, the motor had to be replaced. It has failed to run on its regularly scheduled weekly cycle more often than it ran. I have had numerous service calls and parts replaced on the generator over the past year. Finally in July, it stopped functioning and has been continuously broken since then. The service technician has been here several times replacing parts and performing tests. Four weeks ago, I was informed the unit was defective and assured I would be getting a replacement generator in a week. I have heard nothing from the company in the past 4 weeks.Desired Settlement: I would like a replacement generator installed immediately and also for the inconvenience and the aggravation caused by the unacceptable delay in repairing this generator, I would like a year of free maintenance on the replacement generator.

Response:

The customer is correct the Generator was defective. We have Generac company addressing the problem as we speak. We wish they could respond faster. The Generator that was shipped was defective and needs to be repaired under Generacs Warranty policy. As far as the waiting time you experienced. This was caused by the back log at Generac and the local building departments in ability to process the permits in a timely manner. Compounded with the fact PSEG was giving a 5 to 6 week turnaround on there approvals. I believe your frustration is valid, yet it was not caused by our company, but by the local building department and your gas company. The generator problem will be addressed by us or Generac. I was just informed my office spoke to customer yesterday regarding the latest information from Generac. Unfortunately it takes them so long to respond. I assure the customer that Bloomfield Cooling, Heating & Electric Will get this resolved. We will definitley offer you a free maintenance the first year. It is the least we can do. We are sorry this happened as we have said before. Most importantly we will make this right as soon as Generac fullfills there warranty commitment.

Sincerely,

Owner
