We were very disappointed in Bloomfield GardensWe hired them to complete our front landscape and interlock project, and despite a lengthy delay, and untimely response to our calls and texts, we proceeded with the project and then signed on for our backyard We had numerous consultations regarding the plan as it involved a pool installation from another companyThe day of the pool dig Bloomfield showed up hours late, and as a result were unable to complete the proper hedge removalThe pool company was more than amicable and assisted in the process - however Bloomfield proceeded to charge for the work even though they didn't do the removalFurther, we were told on numerous occasions to have the pool company divide the soil, but leave it behind, as we would be able to reuse it in grading the lawnBloomfield went back and forth a few times, during the dig, and eventually said to get rid of itAt this point, no dump truck had been ordered and we were faced with an additional $2,cost to remove the dirtBloomfield not only refused to assist in any way in removing the dirt, or splitting the cost, but they also walked away from the job keeping half our deposit and leaving us stuck at the end of the season with a mountain of dirtEverything was spelled out clearly in the contract, yet we were still left with the messWe found their customer service was terribleIt got really nasty, and didn't have toI'm very disappointed in the way this situation was handled

My experience with Bloom Field Landscaping was more than exemplary! After leaving a phone message mid-February, I had a consult with Joe set-up in a week. We met and went over our ideal scenario: retaining wall, patio, removal of existing dirt pile (from previous pool installation), re-grading, and stone around the pool. At this point, we never mentioned price, as we wanted to see how this would stack-up against other landscapers. Compared to our budget, their quote was high, but together, we whittled it down, worked out the savings, and they managed to meet our budget. We signed a contract and set a time for mid-late April 2016.
Joe gave me a couple days notice prior to their arrival, however I had some last minute changes, so we had a meeting Sunday evening prior to work starting. The changes shifted the patio and retaining wall, and added a bit more stone, but since the quantities remained roughly the same, Joe was able to accommodate this with ease. Work commenced on the Monday, and was completed the next day. The crew was very courteous and professional, and worked extremely efficiently. They under-ran on stone for the retaining wall, but didn't add any extra cost for material, and went forward sourcing more on their own. My backyard looks fantastic, and Joe had many great ideas and suggestions for the grass, garden, and patio furniture selection. Hands down, this has been the best experience working with a contractor on my house. I am the proud owner of a high-end patio for a reasonable and budgeted cost.
