Dr *** allowed his asst to put in temp crown (which he later told me was placed in wrong exposing my tooth underneath) causing me severe pain. He did not check it before I left his ofc. Not until after he glued in permanent crown he then wants to send me to another doctor for root ***. Dr should have sent me 1st to see if root *** needed before permanent crown glued in. Dr did not match color of my other teeth. My new dentist confirmed he had same capabilities as she does in matching color. She described it as a “Lit lightbulb”. Dr *** billed my insurance on my 1st visit for everything & not on the “seed” date. His ofc was paid before I ever returned to get my permanent crown. Insurance company told me that the dentist office knows they are not to do this. I was dissatisfied with Dr *** & I had agreement with them that I would seek out new dentist & I would have my copay reimbursed to me, which they will not do now. Because of Dr *** misconduct & lack of care, it has cost me more out-of-pocket money and a root ***. I want what is rightfully owed to me. I don’t want anyone else to go thru what I went thru. Dr *** & ofc flat out lied to me & my insurance. I made complaint with my insurance, Delta Dental, & I was told this is a civil matter. I will be filing complaints with ADA & State of CA Dental Board. I was also told by attorney referral that I have reason to sue.

Please kindly review our response below: Patient requested a new patient appointment to be seen at Bloomvale Dental with concern of her recent crowns coming off during non-business hours. Patient indicated her dentist was not available during the weekend. She requested an urgent request to be seen to re-cement her crowns. Her dentist responded via text stating "if this is a real emergency, go to emergency room." Patient is now looking for a new dentist. Patient would like to establish care at our office to evaluate her oral health along with dental work done to her teeth. New patient exam and xrays were taken on initial visit on 01/2/2020. Patient indicated crown #19 had came off multiple times and had to be re-cemented multiple times by various dentists. She was concerned of the condition of tooth beneath the crown. Dr. *** evaluated tooth #19 and recommended replacement crown due to recurrent decay. Patient was informed of all risks and benefits. Treatment plan was presented and agreed upon. Consent of crown was signed by patient with understanding risk of re-doing crown. Patient utilized her dental insurance which covers a percentage of her procedure. Per standard protocol, patient portion of $382.80 was collected. Dental procedure was done per standard protocol. Patient filed a grievance through her dental insurance (delta dental). All clinical notes, xrays, and complaints were reviewed by dental consultant of delta dental to determine validity of patient's complaints. We explained to patient the process of dental review by dental insurance and will abide by insurance regulations. Pending review by dental insurance, patient insisted on refund of patient's portion ($382.80). We informed patient that a refund will only be issued should delta dental consultant find her complaints as valid. Delta Dental finalized their decision and it was in our favor. Dental work was performed per standard and satisfactory. Both patient and our office received result of peer dental consultant review indicating work was done satisfactory and no refund will be issued. As we strongly abide by insurance regulation, patient is not due for refund of $ 382.80. To protect our patient's privacy, should you need further clinical information, feel free to obtain HIPAA waiver and reach out to delta dental for result of patient's grievance.

I am rejecting this response because:
They are flat out lying. I did not call them for any emergency or problem regarding tooth #19 or any other teeth problems for that matter. I only questioned them about emergencies because I told them what had happened to me last Oct 2019.I was looking for a dentist that did do emergencies if needed on weekends. There are some dentists that do not do emergencies. If you get my paperwork that I filled out for them asking me why am I being seen (like I mentioned before in my complaint), it states I had no problems. I was only there for my 6 month cleaning. We were in mutual agreement that I was not at all satisfied with their service & I was to be reimbursed. They did not follow through from their end. Another lie. And because I was not satisfied & they billed Delta Dental when they weren’t supposed to, they needed to return monies back to my insurance as well.
