In September 2019 we purchased a $100.00 gift certificate on-line (for what we thought was for any of the services offered) for my sister. She lost her son to suicide a few months prior and we wanted to get her something that could help her to relax and take her mind off of it for awhile. Recently she attempted to redeem the gift card and was told it could not be used for massage. I can forward to you the e-mail responses from the owner ***, but the following is a direct quote. "You obviously aren't reading the website or you just don't know how to read. Whoever purchased this for you obviously cannot read either..it doesn't get anymore plain English and clear on my website. I encourage you to please report me to the Revdex.com so they can also tell you the same thing because you clearly aren't understanding and I don't have time today to argue with a brick wall. Good luck to you."
I have no way of knowing at this time if the website has been changed to exclude massages since we purchased the gift card, or if we did miss the exclusion of massage when purchased. Either way, this type of response is unwarranted. Please note, when purchasing using the "Instant Gift Certificate" there is NO mention of excluding massage. Including this exclusion on the Instant gift certificate option would certainly clarify the owners' policy.
What is very sad and unsettling to me is that we purchased a gift with the intention to help my sister in her grief, and in the end it has caused even more.There is no excuse for the disgusting rude response to my sister. Totally uncalled for and probably the most unprofessional customer interaction I have ever seen. Clearly at this point my sister cannot redeem this gift card after being treated with such an aggressive and bullying attack. Resolution to this complaint, and the compassionate thing to do would be to refund the $100.00 to my credit card so that I can find another way to support my sister.
The day *** wrote out a bad review on my business *** page without even reaching out to me is the same day that *** did the same thing, wrote a bad review and not even call me to see if I would honor it. It was weird bc the reviews mirrored each other. *** got really nasty, attacking me personally without me responding at the beginning. I tried being reasonable with her and explain my website but she just wasn't understanding even how to put in my website address bc she kept screen shotting some other website that I didn't even know what it was and not part of my site. I had to stop responding bc she just was being unreasonable. And then, she took down her review in which I thought she figured it out. So I don't have that review to show you what was said but that brother who complained, is highly incorrect and it wasn't thru an email as he stated. Plus, he contradicted himself by saying saw the policy but he didn't? But after reading the complaint, and knowing her back story, I felt very sad and sorry for her so I found her on *** and reached out to her as well as the therapist. After reaching out to her is when it was brought to my attention that *** is her daughter. In the attached is a screen shot of the recent communication my renter and I had with *** and is resolved.
