Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below The magnet was installed before taken in to Pro-Tech Transmission, even though it was a partial half, it was still very much functional It's job is to collect any metallic debris that may cause damage to any rotating parts Pro-Tech is obligated to inform the customer they will not install the magnet because it's broken I was never informed nor did I ever decline any service When a customer refuses services, repair shops will indicate it on the work order and have the customer initial it In this case that wasn't done because Pro Tech never informed me that they would not be re-installing the magnet They simply forgot or intentionally did not put the magnet back.Weeks later when I called Pro Tech's manager, he offered to look for the it and mail it back But I refused and decided to purchase one my self in order to receive it sooner The cost was approximately $with shipping I do not seek compensation for the magnet but for the time replacing it.Most statements in Pro Tech's report are false I did not take the transfer case in at 8:am rater approximately 5:30pm the previous Monday 8/3/ As for disassembling it in front of me That is not true I was told by the manager that I could be there if I had so desired I refused but when the transfer case was disassembled, the manager had called me over the phone to come and inspect it I went to the shop The bearings were not installed backwards as Pro-tech's report states, nor did the technician mention any thing of the like The technician did claim the gears may have been worn and had me spin the input shaft so I could see I spun the shaft and nothing was amiss and I told him I felt nothing wrong I fear he was trying to get me to buy unnecessary parts Noting was mentioned of the worn out gear after that As for myself and the the Pro-Tech technician, we could not figure out where the rattling or squeaking was coming from Which was the original complaint and the reason I brought it in So the manger told me "the best we can do is a bearing kit for $550.00." I agreed Later to find out the squeaking was from a worn out tail house bushing. On 8/5/ I had taken the transfer case back to ProTech transmissions to have some spray paint removed I inquired the manager if the tail house bushing had been replaced and if it wasn't I didn't want to pay for them to do it He said I would not have to pay for anything and he was almost sure a new one had been installed Hours later when I picked up my transfer case for the second time the technician was there The manager asked if he replaced the tail house bushing and the technician said he had.Pro-Tech transmissions indicated in their report that they used the proper thickness of silicon 1/16" Which the correct thickness for re-assembly is 3/16" I would guess that the technician used 1/4" or more Attached is a photo that validates my claim.Pro-Tech transmission failed to reinstall/replace the magnet and falsely accused me of not wanting to reinstall it to defer responsibly.Pro-Tech reassembled a transfer case with a worn out part, the tail house bushing A professional shop should have inspected all parts and informed the customer about any in need of replacement Regards [redacted] ***

To Whom It May Concern: Reference Complaint ID# *** In regard to the consumers complaint, we (Pro-Tech Transmissions) have reviewed the consumers response to our (Pro-Tech Transmissions) response & have decided to refund the consumer $for his time to replace the "Magnate". We (Pro-Tech Transmissions) believe this is more than reasonable, considering it does not take that much time to install the "Magnate". Thank- you for your time in this matter. Any questions or comments please call ###-###-####. Sincerely, Pro-Tech Transmissions
