Review: I hired Blue Box carpentry services to create and install custom window cabinets at my Brooklyn apartment.As stated in the contract that was signed by both parties, those cabinets should have been made of Plywood and then painted but the folks ad Blue Box used Plywood as well as cardboard material for some pieces. One of the pieces made of cardboard broke just 6 weeks after the installation, and that was the moment when I realized that they had employed cardboard.I reached out to [redacted], who is the [redacted] of this business in May 2014. He came to verify the piece on June [redacted], 2014 and promised to send the replacement piece in two weeks time. It is now August and every time I call either no one picks up the phone, or [redacted] says that he has been sick or he just provides some other random excuse.Desired Settlement: I want the broken piece to be replaced with a similar one made of Plywood, as stated in the original contract.
