In my opinion Blue Chip has a very good way of breaking people's hearts as well as denying adoptable pets a welcoming home in a timely manner. I put in an application in person, for the pet I was interested in adopting, and asked how the process was handled. I was told all applications would be reviewed, references and vets would be contacted etc. The next day I phoned Blue Chip and spoke to London. I asked her how long does it usually take before you hear. She told me about 48 hours cause the adoption coordinator has a full time job and is backed up! Then, I called when the 48 hours was up only to find that the pet we wanted to adopt was adopted the previous night. They never contacted our vet or references and never reviewed the application! We are heartbroken and were also told this was not the first time this happened and they needed to speed up the process!
