I am currently on hold with BCBSNC after speaking with a 4th person to get a simple question answered regarding a claimI have been on the phone for hrs and mins and still do not have an answer..just more hold musicTheir customer service is horrible!!!

I paid this company $for my insurance coverage for the month of January through healthcare.govThey took my payment and mailed me an insurance cardWhen I tried to use that card I was told my plan didn't existI called bcbs to see what the issue was and was put on hold for hoursThat is not hyperboleAfter finally speaking to a customer service representative I was told that for whatever reason my plan "had not been loaded into the system." She then took the necessary steps to put the plan in the system and told me it would be working within 3-daysFive days later I again attempted to get my prescription filled and they were again unable to find my planI called bcbs again and was on hold for another hour before I gave upI tried again that MondayAgain I was put on hold for hours before another incompetent employee tried to find my planShe was too incompetent to find the plan so she went to get helpShe said she was going to briefly put me on hold, but instead she hung up on meI called back and I am currently on holdI have been on hold for over an hourIf you're thinking about getting insurance with this company, then don'tThis has truly been the worst customer service experience I have ever hadBlue Cross Blue Shield of North Carolina is the worst company in th United States, possibly the entire Milky Way Galaxy

I have been a blue cross blue shield member for over a year I have called them for the past three months and I never have spoke with a customer service representative yet I have been put on hold for hours and hours I can not get through They have raised my premium to dollars more a month I can not afford this rediculous amount Total a month is what they expect me to pay in They have no problem continually biling me I wish to cancel my subscription with bcbs of nc so I can obtain health coverage elsewhere I did not change my health care plan in 2016, but yet bcbs of nc did not inform me that my premium was going to raise to such a rediculous unaffordable amount with the same plan I had obtained in I need help resolving these issues

I have not had insurance with BCBS since Dec but they drafted $out of my account for Jan & Feb I did my part and canceled the policy, got a confirmation number but it still did no good I have been working since Feb to get my refund back and have spent over hours on hold and I am still waiting on my refund I have confirmation numbers for refunds that are supposed to post within 3-business days and I've yet to see a refund Now, it is March and I am currently on hold again Maybe I can explain to the mortgage company they will have to wait another month for their payment, I am sure they will be just as patient as me waiting on my refund This company is a joke, everyone talks in circles and no one can get me an answer Maybe they can reimburse me for the 12+ hours (and counting) I've been on hold while at work I am sure that reimbursement check will be right behind the one I am currently waiting on

Been on the phone for hours was hung up on twice and told to hold on any was put back on hold call was never answeredI had issues back in December, which I was paying for policiesI'm receiving bills that were not paid now I have to cough up moneyOh and that's not it I sent in last month that's has not been accounted forI paid for month so I can still be insured until I found another companyI have so many issue with company that is not being addressedSmh I have no idea on what's going on

I have been trying to reach BCBS for three days to cancel my health insurance policyThe phone system was down due to a "high call volume" for two days, I finally was put on hold (for over an hour) and gave eventually gave upAlso, I tried to go online to cancel my policy but the website is having "technical difficulties." So here I am....I am paying for a policy that I do not want and am unable to cancel with no recourse other than filing a negative review

I have had terrible experience in getting medical bills paid by BCBS for the past yearsLast year I gave up on getting an ultrasound reimbursed (for which they somehow determined I should pay $800, although medically necessary); this year I have been fighting for over months getting a $2,claim reimbursedEven though they only have days to respond to claims, they somehow manage to request a new document, letter, etcon the dot every days and drag out the process, and in a first step simply deny things to see if any appeal comes back I have never had to fight that hard with a health insurance companies and would not recommend BCBS because of that

These guys are criminals and horribleIf the doctor prescribes something and you go to get it filled they reject it then require a prior authorizationWhat the heck, it was authorized by the doctor you isPay $a month which is a deal from what others pay and still have to deal with this ***I could buy the medicine for less that the premium and see the doctorI hope the company goes bankrupt

I recently used BCBSNC's services while I was between insurances I called and let them know I would only need it a couple of months and they said just to let them know when to stop their services and there would be no issue After getting on their web portal (used for all medical/dental etc.), I emailed them that I wished to discontinue my services and thanked them for their coverage while I needed them
To my dismay, they continued to charge me for dental and stated that I didn't specify what type of membership Sorry, but that is a bad business practice First off, how did you know I wanted medical cancelled and not the other? I tried to recoup my charges however their management declined This is not right and I wonder how many others in NC are suffering the same issues Buyers beware and BCBSNC pull your business together and spell out to your customers that each insurance has to be cancelled magically through separate occasions

Blue Cross Blue Shield customer service professional is far from professionalI have been calling them since the beginning of the month and my issue is still not resolvedThey are still showing my old policy in the systemEvery time I call I am on hold for hours and when I do get somebody they don't seem to know anything and then they transfer me and them I'm on hold for a couple more hours and then I hang up out of frustration I got my insurance through the marketplace everything looks good on their end but not on BCBS endI'm supposed to be scheduled for out patient surgery this month but every time someone from my doctor's office call they keep getting the old policy informationI don't understand what is going on that I would have to be placed on hold for hours and still not have anybody pick upI feel like I'm being jerked around

Customer service during open enrollment is horrificThe simple task I need completed cannot be done online, and I was required to call Customer ServiceI held for minutes only to be told I was being transferred to another department (which they refused to provide a direct number for in case of future reference)I was told that department is also experieicing higher than call volume during this timeEnded up waiting hr minutes to get a person who could help
I wanted to put this feedback on their website, but could not find anywhere to do soSomewhere for feedback/comments/suggestions on their site would be helpful
All they say to address the issue is "we have extended hours during open enrollment to help you with your plan needs"This is not an adequate solution
BCBSNC should hire more phone operators so customers can speak to a person within minutes or less, or they should provide more options to be able to resolve issues on your own - online

I have tried to get a hold of Blue Cross unsuccessfully over the last few months I'm trying to update my payment info, but the web site is down and will not find me in the system, I literally was on hold for hrs and gave up When I did talk with someone about changing my payment info, he said just wait and a bill will come in the mail I finally received a bill weeks later, and it said I was overdue on my account because I could not reach them I then proceeded to call the number on the letter, and the number send me to some auto club This is by far the worst experience I have ever had with any company It is really terrible

I have been trying to cancel our family policy with Blue Cross since the beginning of January and have experienced the same long hold times as othersI held for up to an hour and a half and never spoke to anyoneI was able to access the automatic draft section of the website one day (most days it said technical difficulties) and cancelled it so they can't charge me this monthAn actual person came on the line today after only minutes, but then told me that I couldn't cancel our family policy because my husband was primaryI told her to find someone who could override that because he wasn't available and we weren't calling backShe left me on hold for another hour and a half and I finally hung up
We are cancelling this policy because our Blue Advantage plan was no longer offered and we only had the choice of Blue Value or Blue Local plansNone of our doctors were on these plans and the Blue Cross representatives lied and told me that my doctors could join Blue Value at any timeThis is not true - two of my doctors told me that Blue Cross invited a select group of providers to participate in the plan and would not allow other doctors to joinOne of the main things they are doing is cutting out the small family doctors who are not affiliated with the large hospital systems

BCBSNC REALLY HAS to do more than apologize I have been overcharged, double charged, and spent a total of hours on hold to work on the multiple problems created by the new system And even after all this time and talking with customer service and billing, I still can't be guaranteed that the problem will be completely fixed In fact I was told that I will probably be double charged again because of the system and then have to call back So dreading another hours on hold As far as I can tell BCBS doesn't give a hoot about its clients If it did, there would be a whole lot more interest in compensating the customers for their time and effort and lost money

I have tried contacting bcbs nc to cancel my policy over the past month and halfI have called during day time hours, and afternoonAt point on their website they offered evening hoursI xalled then too EVERY TIME I was kept on HOLD for a ludricous amount of time for over an hour, at which point I had to put the phone down
There have no where online to cancel policyI was at the doctors office and patients were also being told that the techinicans could not get through to bcbs ! it is INSANE to have to WAIT do long and never get in touch with a representative, especially when we as the customer are paying TIMELY premiums only to get NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, I have never experienced such insane wait times - with eventual no way in getting in touch with them! I posted on fb - and I have no response there either!! The government should fine this company for being able to continue services for all its thousands of members that rely on them!

I purchased insurance back in December of for the start of I am currently paying a price that I was not identified correctly and am being told that I have not paid my duesI called the customer service for assistance said on hold for hours for the rep to tell me they have my social security wrong and could not find me in the systemThat I am not paying for dental insurance when I was aware that I was when I signed up forI have not received proper documentation nor the correct cards for insuranceThe representative that I spoke with was not very happy to talk to me and gave me a nice attitudeI do not appreciate paying for something that I was under the impression that I was paying for multiple services

I have needed to contact BCBSNC to cancel a policy that I am paying for that is for a family member This member has switched after signing up thru healthcare.gov with *** My repeated attempts have failed The only way to talk with them is thru customer service There you receive busy signal, experiencing technical problems call later or it answers and over a hrI was on hold without connectingToday I have been on hold for an hour+ and nothing
However BCBSNC does have their billing working They are still drafting my bank account This is so frustrating not being able to communicate They are not equipped to support their customers
