Review: I realize you don't handle disputes regarding health insurance but my complaint is about the customer service part of things (I apologize in advance if I am wasting your time.) I attempted to get insurance and I have a pre-existing condition (mitral valve prolapse). They requested my records from my cardiologist but I had not been in about 8 years and come to find out he has been retired for many years and the records are no longer available. I explained this to them multiple times in different wording as they seemed to not understand and they wanted my current doctor to fill out the paperwork. They only regular doctor I have is my gynecologist and she does not have my records nor is this her area of expertise. I explained this and could not get any other response other than the latest saying they have closed my application due to lack of medical information. I have had BCBS for most of my 36 years, surely they can see all my claims and history. It is through unfortunate circumstances that we have lost our insurance and it is ridiculous the runaround I am getting.Desired Settlement: I realize there isn't much to be done, I just wanted this complaint on file. I do wish you all had a magic wand to fix stupidity and blantant rudeness! Hope you all have a wonderful day! :)

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. It will be satisfactory if I actually receive a response from them as I emailed them the same day I created this complaint and have yet to hear anything. I do appreciate your help with this matter.

Review: In December I contacted my agent, J[redacted], about a bill I received for $441 when my payments were only $97. He advised me to just submit for a new plan so On January 16, 2015 I submitted payment for a new medical policy through agent [redacted] which would go into effect 2/1/2015. January 29, 2015 I emailed Mr. [redacted] because I did not receive my packet or insurance cards he replied saying it should be a few more days. February 4, 2015 I emailed again because I still haven't received any information and Mr. [redacted] replied my policy was the same number as old and to call customer service to get new cards. When I called they advised me both policies were cancelled. February 5, 2015 Mr. [redacted] emailed and said he communicated with Director of Individual Sales and solved the issue and my policy was in effect on 2/15/2015. Since then I've been contacting customer service weekly to get policy number and each week they tell me it has to be manually entered and should be done in a few days and this is week after week! As of today I still do not have a policy number for a policy that's been in effect since 2/15/2015. I have a sick child now that has no proof of insurance to see a doctor!! I called customer service today, 3/12/15 and got same response as always they are working on it and will give me a call back which they never do. I also emailed my agent on 2/27/2015 with no response back and again today 3/12/15 with no response at this time. I paid the premium for February and now March will be past due only because they have yet to do their job and activate my policy. I have asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor when I call into customer service but I have yet to get someone on the phone.Desired Settlement: I would like my policy activated and the insurance packet along with my ID cards mailed to me ASAP. Also, premium for March should be waived due to all the issues I have had to deal with and will continue to deal with until we resolve this matter.
