I am rejecting this response because:
They responded directly to me stating that the original claim was paid correctly and no additional payment will be made. They stated that ambulance benefits are not listed on the patient accessible website as it is only a summary of benefits but did not state where I can find that information other than calling BC/BS. I will fax you a copy of their response if you will please let me know your fax number.
I am extremely frustrated. This situation defies logic and good business practices. I need this claim to be paid in full. If they refuse, I need to know how on earth they can rationalize denying payment for emergency services. Something giving a reason, not simply telling me, yet again, what my plan does and does not cover. I am currently looking for a new insurance company. In my search I found that I am eligible for state-funded insurance that would have covered the ambulance ride. I find it sad and infuriating that I can get better coverage by taking a government hand-out than by working hard and paying for my own insurance. Shame on BC/BS.
