Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] is grossly mistaken on all aspects. Our project was only behind based on his work. The rest of the project was mostly on schedule and has been done for the last 6 months waiting for the granite to be completed. We did purchase the granite that was previously used in one of his clients houses. He was recommended to us and we provided him the opportunity to give us a bid on doing the granite work in our basement. We ultimately had a verbal agreement/contract for $2500 for him to transport and fabricate the existing granite for use in our kitchen and to complete the other granite work in the basement. This was all discussed and agreed upon before we wrote the first check to him. At a later date, he explained that he didn't have the money to get the rest of the granite needed for the basement. We put our trust in him and paid him the remaining amount. At that point we heard nothing but excuses from hurting his back, cutting his finger, having sinus infections, and general other excuses why he couldn't come and finish the project. We have over 180 text correspondence and over 50 emails related to this situation. Ultimately, the sinks that he installed in the granite fell off as they were not installed properly, every piece of granite he had started to install had to be fixed due to crooked cuts, damaged pieces, unfinished edges, and unfinished seams. He also never brought the promised granite back for finishing the project. These pieces had to be purchased, fabricated, and installed. All of this work to finish the job ended up costing $1050 (Original bid was for $1600). We simply want him to pay for this expense by reimbursing me the $1050. If you have any questions or would like further details including copies of emails, texts, photos, or anything else, please let me know.
Sincerely,
